Posted January 7, 200619 yr comment_112696 Will put her to the test this week against the previous model NC-1's. Lots different about this one, Slightly more rounded top line, thinner sole, enhanced shape, softer forged steel and lets not forget Zero offset....or is it onset?
January 7, 200619 yr comment_112701 Chris, Those look even better than I expected! Thanks for the pics. Edit!!! Its late and I'm packing to head to Hawaii, so I didn't pay attention to the pic from address... what are the specs on the offset, or lack thereof? Reminds me of my old Kenneth Smith irons... I like! January 7, 200619 yr comment_112702 Oh no, I thought I was done for a while! Those look SCHWEEET! :tsg_smilie_money3: :tsg_smilie_money3:
January 7, 200619 yr comment_112708 They do look very interesting. Would you say the topline is thicker than the previous NC-1s? Just appears so to me from the pics. What custom options will be available?
January 7, 200619 yr comment_112713 I must resist the temptation, I must resist the temptation. I have a set of Scratch Prototype Blades on order with zero offset. The clubs look sweeeet!!
January 7, 200619 yr comment_112715 they are very nice, but for me the original nc1s are better looking - prefer the gauge :)
January 7, 200619 yr comment_112726 -Love the way those irons look. A lot of choices coming up for me and I don't know what to pick -Custom mizuno mp 27's -Custom set of Scratch CB's -Gauge NC-1's This site is making it tough!!
January 9, 200619 yr Author comment_112825 Made in Japan or made in china? Made by Endo of 1020 steel in Thailand. They do look very interesting. Would you say the topline is thicker than the previous NC-1s? Just appears so to me from the pics. What custom options will be available? No custom options at the moment. You can get them heads only or with S200 or NS950's. In regards to the topline it is the exact same as the original NC-1's.
January 9, 200619 yr comment_112861 they are very nice, but for me the original nc1s are better looking - prefer the gauge :) Agree, but perhaps they'll clean it up a little since it is a prototype. Edited January 9, 200619 yr by tsg4tch
January 9, 200619 yr Author comment_112866 Here are pics to compare guys! I have both and im now using the G-Fields #1 reason is the zero offset #2 is the new club factor :tsg_smiley_laughatyou:
January 11, 200619 yr comment_112950 I like the looks of the Gauge NC-1's more. I just can't get over the "G" logo, I guess because I prefer the calipers Plus I have a set of the Gauge and not the G-Field. But I do like the milling marks in the cavity, nice change up.
January 11, 200619 yr comment_112959 The Studio Handmade are the best looking + most forgiving, Cbs I've ever owned and I don't say that lightly... the g-field look nice but just don't compare to the craftsmanship of the handmade-- and yeah I like the calipiter's logo too!! Simple and classy...
January 16, 200619 yr comment_113261 OH my !!! I love them what a solid looking iron nice nice nice !!!!!!
January 18, 200619 yr comment_113468 Should have my set with NS Pro 1150 stiff in play next wednesday (along with my G Field GFT). Based on all the positive comments on the Gauge NC-1s to date, if these are as good then I should be set for a while
