corky3
Have anyone owned both the X-Drive 405 and the new 435? How would you compare them in terms of distance? I have both, I didn't/do not find 'much' difference in distance, maybe average of about 5 yards diff. But as the shafts were different, GD ADM65 as opposed to Diamana Red 65, it is not a very valid comparison. And the lofts were different. However for me the fact that the 435 is avaialable in 10.5 deg loft where the 405 max was 9.5. This means I have a much better ball flight as I am a notorious low ball hitter. The 435 is slightly more forgiving for me as well, mis**ts going straighter..... either one is a visual beauty though!

I have owned both but not at the same time, the X-Drive 405 9.5 w/Tour AD M65 vs the X-Drive 435 10.5 w/Tour AD PT-6 shaft. The new X-Drive IMO feels a tad better in a softer way, its also more forgiving and longer due to the higher loft and shaft. I compare the PT-6 to the Diamana S63 with no balloon and more roll. The distance gain was substantial for me because the shaft just works better with my swing.

I hit the 405 and didn't care much for it. Good feel but not very forgiving at all.
