Played my 1st round with the MP-57s shafted with Black Golds Yesterday and I must say I'm pretty impressed, Mizuno has created a more forgiving players cavity back that isn't bulky and doesn't appear too large. Much to my surprise there really isn't much offset on these and the top line looks around 6mm thick which does give a good amount of confidence at setup. The feel was almost as nice as the MP60's and for sure better than the MP-27. This set was much needed in Mizuno's line up, it bridges the gap between the MP60 and MX25 nicely.

There is absolutely no doubt about the quality of the Mizuno product, nor in my view has there been in the last twenty years.

The 57s are a good addition, to a good stable.

Would it be fair to say Mizuno has increased the frequency of their product release? It seems in the last year we have had the 60, 67, 100 and now the 57. That said they are ALL very good.

Could be some very interesting combo sets created out of all of this.

looks so nice and simple. if they feel anything like the very forgiving mx23 i have then these would be real sweet. as someone mentioned mizuno has indeed been relasing a lot of models as of late. frankly im confused with all the plethora of equipment they release. so hard to keep up :tsg_smiley_cyclops:

I have not measured the loft yet but these are one of the best feeling most forgiving irons I have played in a while, These puppies would make an amazing custom combo set one day. It seems to me they have a nice curved sole with a rounded leading edge, It isn't really a pure forged blade feel but it does have some hints of MP60 pure in it at all times.

My trajectory was pretty stable with my slightly stronger lofts to aid in keeping the ball low in very windy conditions. Compared to the JPX it was simply different where both are simply marvelous in their own special way I Gotta give props to my Black Golds silky smooth feel & finish, Its heavier weight and consistent frequencies keep the 5-PW pretty tight for for the aggressive 7 iron punch shot from 3 to 9 move from about 150yds. Having a couple range day's with the new MP-57's has got me thinking of it more as a compliment to the arsenal or than an every day gamer as Its only natural to desire very little offset and a thin top line of the MP-67 or Type J's.

Im dreaming of a Mizuno custom combo set with MP-57/60/67 irons with matching custom top line and sole grind's with a brushed satin finish and some BG's :tsg_smiley_cyclops:

Mizzy, you ought to cut the crap with the cut muscle... because that idea just doesn't cut it... I mean really... the MP-60s and MP -57s aren't they cut from the same cloth. Mizzy hope you get the message... that putting a CUT MUSCLE ON EVERYTHING is a ridiculous marketing ploy... Stop listening to the marketing people and unshackle your designers!!!!!!

Nice looking club. I would like to see how it would look with the cavity polished instead of sandblasted.

The custom set quoted by Chris would be awesome. If anyone can do it, TSG can do it.

I'm on the market to change my iron set...

How does this compare to Callaway X-20?

The MP57 is an extreme disapointment. It is virtually an MP60. I have NO idea why they have made and marketed this club. What a waste. I was hoping for a club to bridge the mx25 and the MP60 and what I got was an MP60 with a slight modification.
