I've always wondered how these putter covers where and I liked the design, so I dropped by a local store that had two in stock. I was disappointed at the quality of material used for the outer cover. The stitching and soft material used for the inside was nice but the material used on the outside was very hard and plasticy. I compared it to a Scotty Cameron cover made by AME and they were a lot softer. Perhaps it's just a design difference but I'm glad I didn't splurge on a comocome.

I don't know what other experiences others have had. Oh btw..the owner of the store also had the same sentiment.

That depends. Some of the Come Come's I have seen are much nicer than Scotty Camerons..etc.

Which one did you see? An older model perhaps?

Far nicer than AM&E, im not sure what you were looking at.

Stitch count is far higher also.

i saw the white head cover with the red riding hood design and black internal fur, i think red velcro.

yes, I've mentioned the stitching was nice, I was just referring the the cover it self, the outer shell compared to the retail scotty Circa headcover in red.

perhaps the newer models are soft like the circa?

I have a tour scotty and the cover is crappy versus the Comocome snowflake cover.

Here's my cover, the Rasta color model in Black, AKA - the "Pakalolo" cover.

Mine is absolutely gorgeous and very well made. The black leather has no plastic feel to it whatsoever and is no way glossy. The red, green and gold colors of the leaves and sandals are vibrant. So much so, it brings to mind comparisons to the how colorful the movie 'House Flying Daggers' was. If you've ever seen that movie the cinematography is outstanding! This cover really catches your eye. There is quite a lot of attention given to the stiching upon close inspection. Inside is comprised of red, deep pile felt and enough padding to ensure more than adequate protection of the putter-head. All in all my ComoCome cover is very well made.

To be fair to Jack, the cover from ComoCome he mentioned does look plasticy as it is plastic i think while most, if not all SC are soft leather. I too were put off by some of the earlier ComoCome material, notwithstanding the novel designs. I particularly do not like the pattern leather looks that feels rigid and hard.

I have a white G-Field putter cover with that plasticy look and feel to it. Reminds me of those high, 60's style "go-go" boots. It sure does bead water well though!

is there a way to tell which model has what type of material?

They are all the same material, but pearl white vs white looks more shinney but I dont know what else to say. AM&E is very cheap compared to this stuff.
