mmfinkel
I expect to be using the new Mizuno Pro 460 head releasing in the states in October. I think it is the MP600. I am presently playing with a 1993 9.5 degree warbird steel with a RCH36 stiff tour shaft. I have been getting no better results with oem shafts and new technology. I went to a launch monitor yesterday and with a Pro V1x was getting average results of swing speed 120+ Ball speed 185 Ball spin of 2600 and carry distance of +/- 300yds with a launch angle of 10degrees with a new taylor super quad with a aldila 65 gram proto s shaft I was getting similar numbers but with a 3600 rpm. I think the shaft was too light and too flexible. It has been suggested that I should get a Diamana white board in X and 83 grams. Any thoughts. Are any of the other more esoteric shafts more consistent. I am not concerned about impressing someone with rare and obscure equipment but rather my play. If it works better I'm interested if it is simply unusual I'm not. I'm looking for consistency and a shaft that will be stable if I lean on it as well as when I throttle back a bit. I like to know where the head and club are in the swing. Thanks for your input.
Goodsie
Having installed the Diamana Whiteboard X for players with similiar swing speed/ball speed as yours, I would second the recommendation of installing it in your new Driver. This shaft's dispersion pattern is very small even on mis-hit shots. My customers are very critical about their equipment and to the man have nothing but good things to say about the Whiteboard, so much so that I put one in my Bridgestone J33 460* Driver. Its not lightening in a bottle (but awful close), but my own experience has been one of better shot patterns, lower take-off, lower spin but workable when needed AND the shaft feels great with a flush feel in the hands. Blader-X
First off, its all about perfomance for me. And, if I can get that with ultimate feel I'm there. That's why I love my JDM equip. Having said that I can only tell you that whatever shaft you do get, go heavy, at least 80 grams. I'm a big believer that when one swings that fast, a heavier shaft will keep the spin rate down as well as keep one more consistent. I tried that light-weight shaft trend a while back and it really hurt my game. Once I went back to heavier shafts, it was all right as rain again. Tight dispersion, much, much less spin and a boring flight pattern. Sure the other aspects of a shaft are important but for me, and my results, I really believe the weight of the shaft was paramount. I have not tried the white board but used to play the blue. The blue doesn't come close with the shafts I've used since such as the AxivV and now the prototype from TSG. I will be giving the new P9003 from Graphite Design a go in the next few weeks and will report on that. Good luck with whatever shaft you decide to go with and hope I've been able to give a little insight to you.

Lowpro
2nd the WBoard 83 x' or the matrix ozik f7m ltd in a x flex also.. both are the best to lower the rpm's, spin and control
