+TourSpecGolfer
I love the Yururi Tour Seida & MTI Type D built to me specs.
gocchin
So many amazing wedges out there.... I am still wanting to try the MTI wedges Here are my best of for this year Best Easy Wedge to use: Fourteen MT-28 J-Spec - larger than most, still a good feel and still good looking at address, does everything well Epon Copper X Mode - No frills grind but very versatile and also great at address Most forgiving grind (for me - I'm a digger): Tour Seida: Just gets under the ball while minimizing digging XXIO 45 Wedge: This wedge does not dig... just slides along the any lie Best Compact Wedge: Sky Dream Jump D-Tour/Royal Collection 6150TG: Even as a mid handicapper this tour level wedge with micro milled face and compact size with an M grind is virtually unbeatable Best Spinning Wedge: Sky Dream Jump D-Tour/Royal Collection 6150TG: Half swing to full swing, even after a seasons use, it destroys balls but stops then dead on the greens Epon Technity Wedge - Crazy Spin Yururi Raw - Another Ball destroyer Epon AF Wedge - Near right angle grooves just spin the ball like mad Best Looks: Epon Copper X Grind Studio Prototype Sky Dream Jump D-Tour/Royal Collection 6150TG All of the above have great shape, setup wondefully and just look plain rocking!! Best all around: Epon Copper X Model Grind Studio Prototype Sky Dream Jump D-Tour/Royal Collection 6150TG The above do everything well and are very very versatile, chipping, approach, sand.... you name it! I'm really wanting to put the MTI wedges through it's paces... I may have to get some now that Chris has been raving about them.

Breal
I love the 14 wedges there solid . But I would like to try the tour yururi seida wedge also the MTI wedge would be cool also any of those 3 would be the choice.

Randy
For me it is the Crews Golf SpinMax. Loads of spin and a really great feel for being a cast club. Rnady
ClubHoUno
I still love my custom made proto Scratch wedges - the may not be the softest wedge out there, but surely it's in the top 5 in the world among the softest forged wedges and I really like the custom grind and custom bounce on mine - I feel like they were made exactly for me Wedges I would love to try one day: Epon Fourteen Mizuno Custom Japan (Don't fancy the retail Black Nickel Mizuno Mp-T's, they felt harder than my cast Vokey's.....not kidding) Yururi Gold's Factory Chikara Design
K2_2
I've gone for more off-beat (for TSG ) stuff and really like the Crews Triple Grind (soft, great grind, spin the ball nicely) and Liquid Chrome Callaways (same comments as per the Crews wedges, plus I am a bit of a Callaway fan). The MTI's look interesting, although PRGR's choice for the paintfill raises some questions about their sense of aesthetics (just kidding guys) and I would really like to try some Chikaras as well. xchangmanx
Just picked up the Seida Tour 56. Though not what I was expecting visually, on the course the feel changed my mind. For the record I ordered the 56 and told myself after looking at it, this is one club is enough as I was still planning on using my Miura 61. After I hit the club, it was another story. I ordered the 60 custom w/specs from Chris. Appreciate you going the extra mile for the 60 Chris. My vote is the Yururi Tour Seida wedge, the 1014 double pressed is the softest I've ever experienced. changman
Spoon
For me it boils down to the shaft i have tried many heads but they wouldnt work because i suspect the shafts were not suitable for me. if i could do it all over again i would go graphites in my wedges. i cant really explain it but i actually preferr graphite shafts in my wedges ONLY. ive tried chikaras, pings tours, epon kzg, vokeys, 588dsgs, gauge, etc etc. they all worked for me but something was not right about them. as i said i suspect that the steel shafts i used were not suitable for me. what i keep coming back to is my beres mg801 with armrq 1 star shaft. i think its the shaft as the head is nt really a great design in my opinion. i will most likely get the rour seidas or even the mti in a nice graphite shaft in the enar future

idrive
I have so many favorite wedges... For the money I think the Epon wedges rule. I love the X-wedges but think the most underrated wedges are the Technity's. The big ticket wedges, I like the Chikara's. I have found I can take almost any of the top wedges and make them perform. For me, the shaft doesn't seem to be as important to make the wedge perform. More related to the feel of the wedge. But... my Tourstage wedge with the graphite shaft is the one wedge I don't really care for. Doesn't seem to be consistent or feel right/good... to me. Guess I should put it in the BST.... Spoon
I've never tried graphite in a wedge, but you have made me pretty curious. You swing down and digg, or smooth? im digger and my swing is nothing but smooth:) i mentioned i use black golds in all my irons and love it. but for wedges i just discovered that graphite suits me more. its weird becasue people like steel in the wedges right? ive had mixed feelings about my chikara with s400, ping with nspro950r, cleveland dsg with s300, gauge with s200, epon kzg with black golds.... you name it ive tried it. what i never realized that it could have been the shafts and not the heads. then boom i try out some graphite shafts and everything just worked. my shortgame has improved dramatically. i have a aggresive swing and i am a super digger . i would recommend getting the heavier axiv shafts or even graphite design tour ad shafts if your going to try them anyway. you cannot go wrong. anyone else on the same boat? idrive
im a digger C, Probably why the graphite shaft works better in a wedge for you than it does for me. I'm much more a sweeper than a digger. As the weather gets colder and the ground gets harder I find myself trying not to "dig at the ball." Come summer time this is not the case... The graphite shaft would tend to smooth out the shock better than steel? We are truly blessed with all the different options available to us!!!!!!!! K2_2
Graphite in irons, graphite in wedges, its still a topic that I like . I have messed around with graphite in my wedges even when I was playing steel. If you get the right shaft for your swing, they work really well. As the moment I'm using S300's, but if I pick up a spare set of the Callaways (or a new 2008 LQ wedge... Callaway, make it happen!) then I would be very tempted to put some I-10's or AD Pros in my wedges. Idrive, if you had the XB series graphite shaft in a newer X-wedge, I can understand you not falling in love with it. The combo is too light for a good player imho. EDIT: just saw your second post; graphite absorbs more shock than steel. I have yet to talk to anyone who has had major surgery (ie someone more sensitive to shock) that would say otherwise. J, i would have to agree with you. the shafts i am playing in my graphite are by no means stiff and are much softer than the softest steel shafts i have used. in fact i have noticed that i am able to get away with some digging due to the shaft acting like a shock absorber and allowes the club to actually flex while i am digging at the ground. if i were using steel i probably wouldnt be getting away with it like the graphites. for the rest of my irons no problemo
Bat
btw, does Epon wedges destroy the ball??? I'm not sure about other models but the Epon Technity (flat black) is a cheese grater. It feels great and put a ton of spin on the ball though. My favorite high-spinning wedge has to be the RC 6150TG. As good a spin as any out there. It'll still chew up the ball on a full wedge shot but much less destructive on touch shots than the Technity. Smallest head I've ever seen in a wedge with subtle milled face and black finish. The only reason I'm not getting it is because I have a sickness of wanting my 52 and 58 wedges to match. The 52 just spins too much for my chip shots. alpha_pro
I would still have to go with my Chikara proto. I also like my Gauge wedge as well but honestly, if I had money to burn I would get another Chikara. So for now the Gauge is safe. I got way too many expenses at the moment and I just bought a another car...I guess I would rather buy car stuff at the moment so getting new clubs will have to wait. xxio
Re: Graphite in wedges. I have GAT95s in my Callaway Tour issued Forged wedges. Unbelievable performance. I took out the one in the 54 thinking steel would be even better. I regret that decision even up to today. The 60 still has the GAT, but the 54 GAT shaft broke on reinstall. jacksonlui
my vote goes for the Chikara and Epon. what do you guys think of the satin px5.5 shafts to replace the DGS300 for the wedges?
ranghips
I absolutely love my new Epon technity wedges, superb feel and controllability. I use Nippon NS pro 950's in my irons but have NS Pro 1150's in my wedges, the slightly heavier shaft does seem to offer better control and accuracy in any wedge. gocchin
I have graphite in 6 of the wedges I own right now. All 75g Graphite Design Tour AD and Axiv 758M, I love the it because I think the graphite certainly enhances the feel and especially since they are a progression of the graphite in my irons. It wouldn't have made sense for me to go from 65g iron shafts to 100g wedges shafts which would have made my wedges 60g heavier than my short irons... I am a digger as well and I feel if my shafts were heavier I'd come down even more because of the weight.
