March 23, 200816 yr comment_148463 GS-MB1015 soft carbon forged steel made 100% in Japan. Whoa! First iron (I think) that is softer than Scratch's 1018 forgings. This is gonna be really really soft.
March 23, 200816 yr comment_148464 Straighter line through the cavity, but it still has some echos of the MB-2.
March 23, 200816 yr comment_148469 wow. i have never hit carbon steel irons before. these will be the softest for sure. Chris will these be one of many irons from george?
April 6, 200816 yr Author comment_148875 ION plated actually gives a slightly harder feel to a wood. Some people say because it makes the face area harder that distance is increased but after testing the performance enhancement is so slight can't be measured.
April 6, 200816 yr comment_148882 Great looking iron. Actually looks to have a thinner topline than my Miura CB-1006's, with slightly more offset. I wonder how forgiving it will play. Edited April 6, 200816 yr by TheHawkmc
April 13, 200816 yr comment_149045 These irons look very good indeed. Sure there is a significant resemblence to the Gauge MB-2s, however I think that is a good thing. Let me say I wish George every success with the new company. If the product is anything like Gauge, it will be an absolute winner.
April 13, 200816 yr comment_149046 Those look like a cross between the Gauge MB-2s and the Royal Collection CV Blade.
May 1, 200816 yr Author comment_149456 Here are early release pics of the GS-MB. It will be released 1st week of June. The amount produced is very limited for all George Spirits product and it carries a hefty price tag. Irons should retail around 2000 - 2500 USD.
May 9, 200816 yr comment_149633 Chris, I'm sure most of us would be interested in a review, once you have a set of these in your hands. They certainly look like a players club.
May 9, 200816 yr comment_149636 These look real, real solid. Has anyone out there been able to get a sneak peak and maybe a trial swing with these? Could you share your thoughts?
May 9, 200816 yr Author comment_149640 They are actually going to be 1020 for retail, the 1015 vs 1020 was no difference at all. Expect the release to be mid June.
July 22, 200816 yr comment_151191 They really are beautiful irons... must resist the temptation to order, ahhhh
