TBone
Looking at the 2 Drivers mentioned...Epon AF101 and Mizuno Craft 460. A lot written about the Epon but not much about the Craft. I have an Epon 460 ZR and played it most of the 07 season, an excellent driver and have been satisfied with the performance. Over the winter, I had the opportunity to hit the Mizuno Craft 425 and really liked the way it felt. So one question is, does the 460 Craft feel and perform similar to the 425? The Craft 460 appears to be a bit shallower than the 425, a fact that I like. I like the look of the AF101, better than the ZR, but I not convinced yet that it offers incremental performance and feel benefits to warrant the upgrade from the ZR. Any input/thoughts would be appreciated. Any contrasts and/or comparisons between the Craft 460 and AF101 would be helpful.

I wouldn't say that the AF101 feels any better than the ZR (they feel Very similar) or go much further on center hit if you're fitted properly for both. But the improved forgiveness is definitely noticeable. Also looks much better at address IMO. Bat

IMO, clubhead forgiveness always seems a bit over-rated, many times more a function of shaft choice...not always, but many times imo. To those who have pm'ed me with advice/suggestions ---> Many thanks and greatly appreciated!

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but I too am interested in more feedback on the 460 craft. I owned a 425 with a Rombax 6x07 which was too stiff for me, so the combo did not work. I am a Mizuno guy and currently play the MP600 which I like just fine, but being the club whore that I am, I'm still thinking about the 460 craft. TBone
Another ? regarding the MP Craft....where is it made? Chou foundry in Japan or elsewhere?
l9979
speaking of the feel of zr and af101, zr is better for the center hit. however, overall af101 is better for off center hit... af101 is not hollow at all...solider than zr... i would grade af101 better for the perfomance and the forgiveness... mp craft 460 is a good driver as well.but not solid feel like zr and af101...it looks little bulky at setup... +TourSpecGolfer
Chuo doesn't make woods they don't make very many irons also, The MP460 lacks distance big time IMO. Not sure why but it just feels soft ( good ) at the face but hallow ( bad ) as well. It feels similar to the Epon ZR by just a little but performance IMO just doens't compare. They are made in Taiwan or China. The 425 performs better than the 460. I have tested both on multiple occasions in a variety of shafts.
