Epon Irons Shaft Offerings

Great news is that KBS Tour shafts are now available with all Epon irons. They've been officially added as options in the pro shop. There is a bit of an upcharge on them as they are not as readily available yet as other brands in Japan. Bottom line is that they are available to be built to the customer specs right from the Epon factory.

Shaft offerings for Epon irons are now as follows:

Shimada K's - AC-10, 3001, 7001

Nippon NS Pro - 750GH, 850GH, 950GH, 1050GH, 1150GH Tour

Dynamic Gold - S200, S400, X100

Black Gold

KBS Tour

NGS Mach Line Graphite

Mamiya Axiv Graphite

Graphite Design Tour AD Graphite

Bassara Graphite

Diamana Graphite

I will double check but at the moment I don't see those wedge shafts in Japan yet. The Japanese KBS site is only listing the KBS Tour under products.

Yup Fujikura is available I'll add them in. The Tour AD Pros are too but they are very costly.

Also the black KB shafts are also available now.

KB Tour black wedge shafts or a complete iron set?

The Graphite Design AD Pros are almost as much as their driver shafts per iron. Very price IMO

The AD Pros at JPY15,000 per shaft is practically a steal compared to the Tour AD 105,115 iron shaft at JPY30,000 each.

I was able to try the KB tour shaft on multiple occasions but I have not hit nor seen the black version.

Anyone here know the difference or test it out?

I'm 99% sure the only difference is the color\finish.

Very similar to the smoked DG S400 shafts

I have the black wedge shafts. I swear they feel smoother. I have inquired about the black shafts for the other irons however was told that they are released in November and there are limited numbers available. They were about $15 more each than the normal KBS.

Black KB Tours sure would look purdy with a set of custom black AF301's :tsg_smiley_drool:

Better yet, Black KB Tours on the new/hopefully soon to be released Epon Blades in black as well.

Chris, any latest news you can release to us about when they are to become available? I'm dying here waiting for their release.

i have two black nickel kbs wedge shafts as well as the normal kbs tour stiffs and the black wedge shafts feels softer and more flexible. i can't say it's any better performing but it does look really nice. i paired it with a new z cutter wedge unfortunately i've decided to bench that wedge and try something else, maybe an epon wedge..

i will be reshafting my epon wedges tomorrow with the kb tour smoked wedges . replacing my Px hi launch and will see what all the fuss is about. hopefully it will be a positive change.

Bladerx, i heard the aftours will only be released in standard finish. no custom finish like copper or black for this model

I hear the same thing about the AFTOUR and custom finish options but it would be a mistake not to offer this model in a special finish as the majority of people who enjoy those cool tweaks are the hardcore golfer.

Don't worry guy's I will work on them until they offer it.
