+TourSpecGolfer
New Irons arrived to battle for top spot in my bag. I also wrote a blog post on these new irons over at GTI.
EPONfreak
oh...............I dont think I should be this 'excited' by golf clubs?????????? that is an excellent Blog Chris. I have recently had a similar experience when demoing the 502's with a customer. I hit a few shots with the 502 7 iron which went miles which really caught my attention I can tell you. I'm normally not a short hitter, stock 7 iron with the AF-Tour is 160m (175 yards) and I was 15% longer again with the 502. Although I got the 'lefts' a bit due to the demo clubs being fitted with KBS Tour 90 R flex shaft as opposed to my KBS Tour 5.5's the 502's were exceptional and a definate improvement in feel terms over the prior 501. I also hit a poor shot out of the toe and suprisingly the ball flew truely settling only a couple of metres from where the pure strikes were landing. Despite the AF-Tours being very forgiving for a MB blade, had I struck the ball that poorly I would have been penalised 1/2 - 3/4 club. I'm certainly motivated to get a complete set of 502's built for myself because of this experience. The only issue I would need to sort out is clubbing with the short irons........... Spoon
very nice chris, was contemplating with a set of coppers but decided with the regular finish instead. is that the same finish as in the black kgx wedges?

pabsquid
Considering the 302's at the moment and was wondering if that black finish holds up. Have you gamed that finish at all and how does it compare to the chrome or satin? Upcharges? David
+TourSpecGolfer
The Black and Copper finish will wear fairly quickly. Also I dont suggest it for states with high humidity or salt levels. I am going to take pics after 3 rounds of golf to show you guys how it wears and post it in this thread. After every round I will do a quick spray of WD-40. I don't use iron covers.
pabsquid
They look amazing new, that's for sure. Would be awesome with my Black Nickel KBS Tours.....
corky3
They look amazing new, that's for sure. Would be awesome with my Black Nickel KBS Tours..... If you're going with that finish, you'd better be sure you're hitting the ball out of the middle (especially on bunker/sand shots). I couldn't stand pulling out a club with a bullseye mark on the toe.....

If it's the usual black finish it does rust easily if you're in Thailand (or any other hot humid place). My 'copper' 301's though are fine - no rust issues, and wear is 'normal'... meaning i can see they've been used, but i kind of like it. Here's pics of my 7 iron just so you've an idea - i've been using this club a LOT, as i've been working with a pro on my swing - so lots of practice off mats.... no iron covers used, either. The copper looks really nice and the good thing is that if you do make an idiot mark it will eventually tarnish and fade away (unlike the black). t0fudelivery
omg the black finish on those 502s is amazing! ive never seen such a finish on an iron before. what kind of finish is that and whats the process involved with them, is it like powdercoating or something? I live in Sweden so can't buy Epon fromTSG. Luckily the shop I go to, and where I know one of the owners happens to carry Epon so I can get it from there. Just wanted a ball park figure, so I'll know if it's feasible. Was thinking about the 502s in copper actually.

frogeye
Chris, Have you played with them yet? How do the crazy shaft feel in comparison to your rodio shafts? I am, like many others, feel the urge to ho again for a new set of blades. Still have the yururi and MB 5003 I bought from you. But my curiosity is peeked and I am pondering over trying a custom head with a graphite shaft. Interested to hear feedback from player who tried the Golds Factory and Kyoei Zestaim Fi-2. Thanks guys, F

+TourSpecGolfer
The finish is holding up after 2 1/2 rounds. I'm still getting used to them I have a slight leaking to the right issue going on. I plan to take pics and post a longer review in this thread after a couple more rounds or whenever i figure out my problem.
