Waiting for the email to order. Looking at Premia 10.5 .5 closed at 200g, will shaft with a 65g shaft. Deciding which one. Please comment: This would be my first Ryoma D1 purchase. Is it a high launch, low spin head (like my egg spoon)?
bogeydog
Launch depends on swing. I found the original mid-high launch, lowish spin. J - Please tell more about Royal Decoration.

+TourSpecGolfer
I'm thinking 9.5 w/ Royal Deco shaft myself. I need to make up my mind soon or I will miss the window.

If the shaft is stable and kicks as hard as they claim, why not. I need to consider swing weight though as I don't want to get too long or too light. I think it should be the same.
JimThitipongSrivatanakul
I ordered FW2 13loft with sigma 50 8.7 shaft. I have the Ryoma V-Spec 8.5 loft shafted with TJ-80 8.7. Really love the feel of the head and shaft of the driver so I would be expecting the same from the FW. The sound too is very pleasing to hear every time I hit the ball. I also have Bangvoo 787 in X flex shafted with R11 head. I would say the carry distance of the Bangvoo and R11 is about 30 yards further but the feel can't be compare with the Ryoma's. Can't wait till the club comes out. Gotta be great!!

supo
in the d1 v spec. i think the best shafts ive hit in it are the GDp9003x and the crazy 80 ls noir , thast not the longest set up but im finding its the most consistant fairway finder. the new one i might actually put the sigma 50 7.7 into it for a bit of extra thump! Am also getting close to shafting with Royal Deco shaft. Just trying to confirm the headweight to get my desired sw. They've been very helpful with all my questions so far. And I had a lot since its not a cheap shaft and want to make sure i get it right.
idrive
The guys (group) I play with on a regular basis already give me sh*t about my clubs (Driver(s)).... if I showed up with a "hot" driver I would be in trouble especially when I'm already the longest most consistent driver of the group. No brag just fact. Keep in mind at 55yrs old I am the second to youngest out of about 40 guys. I have been very quick to point out as of late that I am the only one playing both conforming irons and wedges.

But I did order the fairways.

idrive
Wouldn´t it be nice to be even longer? :) This afternoon would have been the time for it.... I played the tips with my boys.... not as easy to score when you're hitting your 200 yard shot into the green after hitting a 250-60 yard drive. I did order the 3 wood though.... :)
Vegaman
Seems like Non-conforming drivers are making a bit of a come back? Used to be some years ago that many, if not most, JDM drivers were Non-conforming. Then they more or less disappeared, and conforming heads is now the most common. Among my golf buddies a non-con head would be sneared at, for sure a no no.
JMCMB
I just can't understand why anyone would possibly care what someone else is playing, unless there is money on the line, but if not, it just seems crazy to me that anyone would care what clubs someone else chose to game.... I'm lucky, most of my mates that I play with are new to the game and wouldn't know the difference, and even if they did, they probably wouldn't care considering I usually pay for everyones round... And the few guys I play with that aren't new to the game are professionals and smoke me no matter what's in my bag, if anything though they enjoy getting to try out all of the new JDM offerings I scoop up rather than worry if they conform to regulations or not.... But I also don't play for coin regardless of who I'm playing with, so that def has alot to do with it..... J.
JimThitipongSrivatanakul
I have the Ryoma V-Spec driver and the head cover is super ugly!! Will the fairway wood's head cover be the same?!? I ordered F2 fairway wood. Here is the link to my swing with the Ryoma V-spec driver....
