March 19, 201212 yr Thanks for posting this, Mr. D! I picked up a d.i. from Stew and it had a perfect pro grip on it. Never tried it before but I really, really like them. I was going ask about them, but you beat me to it. Would be nice if the proshop could carry them.
March 19, 201212 yr Yes we can get them. You can PM T if you need them now or wait a couple days until we have them in the proshop.
March 21, 201212 yr icant find these bst golf prides i just bought some really really thin cords from GP for my wedges, ultra thin, very soft, for my lob wedges i checked the store alst night pefect pro are made by works japan if u mean agaisnt the bct GP i looked at them side by side, there is a differnce. Edited March 21, 201212 yr by supo67
March 21, 201212 yr it is a typo, sorry, i meant BCT of course http://www.golfpride.com/Grips/Default.aspx?cat=cord&grip=tourvelvetbct
March 21, 201212 yr i looked at these last night the PP are much more "cordier" than the GP, the GP have more rubber feel to them the PP are much harsher in ur hands, the cord is a lot more pronounced and they are slightly longer than the GP.
March 22, 201212 yr You took the word right out of my mouth although I did not know there is such a word 'cordier'. PP is close to the Graphite Design cord grip I had years ago. Perhaps the GD were made by PP.
March 22, 201212 yr hhhaha yes my jinglish has slipped since ihave been in asia . cordier isnt a bad word tho, i kinda like it.. something like ...." was a hot day today, like 35 in the shade , i was striking them horribly all day ,driving like miss daisy , my hands are now ruined by the hot harsh more cordier grips on my protos.., time for a rethink..." yes exactly im sure thGD are rebranded PP im experimenting with all kinds of grips right now i was pretty much ONLY an iomic x evolution and PP cord guy for the last yr but ive expanded my mind a bit to see how the softer sdie plays but i want lo low torque still ive found a cpl of beauties lamkin crossline and golf pride dual durometer put these on my monaccos, gettign greeat feel with them. the PP i put on all my woods, every one of them . and on my softer irons with NS protos, i dont htink theres a more stable grip than the PP but for a lovely mushy soft but still low torrque thoese other two have been very good ilike the extra length of them , dont like the short grips, they upset me
March 22, 201212 yr longer and cordier ? that sounds like old style cord grips to me so i would very much like to try them. are they as expensive as iomics ? cords normally have way much more life in them but still.
March 28, 201212 yr well, they just hit the pro shop. unfortunately the price is on par with regular iomics which means roughly twice the price of gp. while i understand the reasons i think even gp price is too much to be honest for a thin piece of rubber with some cotton in it. still might pick them on my next order based on feedback here.
March 28, 201212 yr they last and seem to last well ,the first set of these i got was about 2 yrs ago and they are like new still. certianly not developing slippery characteristics yet.
March 29, 201212 yr The pp grip is solid. It has a firm feel with great feedback to your hands. I don't like my grips too soft.
March 29, 201212 yr they last and seem to last well ,the first set of these i got was about 2 yrs ago and they are like new still. certianly not developing slippery characteristics yet. Thats not surprising as you use a different set of clubs each week The Nowon No1 expert grip is pretty good as well.
March 29, 201212 yr haha, yeah, them grips are probably brand new just 2 years old ;) seriously tho i know what supo is saying. cords just hold much better and once they wear and become slick a bit you can always sandpaper them lightly and they are pretty much back to normal. compare that to something like soft iomics. the last one i had was gone after about 4 range sessions or so from brand new. it was stock grip and i was going to re-grip anyway but cant imagine buying them at 18 or so a pop, just way too much expense and hassle for a range rat like me. not dissing iomics here, i know they make cords as well, just an example of soft grip and what i'm talking about.
