robbie
First the Ryoma magic which is legit and now the EGG Spoon, im seriously late to this party but im glad i came....i buy clubs on a weekly basis but very few ever catch my interest. The Egg spoon has me wide awake ! This club makes me a different golfer. I reached a 590 yard up hill par 5 in 2 using this awesome combo ! As a testament to how good the prgr is, i hit about 3" behind the ball and pretty much chunked it....but the spoon just slid into the ball and away it went ! i got the ultimate complement from my buddies...."that club is a cheater club ! and im going to break it when you are not looking"

robbie
i never got on with mine....:( I am surprised....but i should mention that i cant seem to hit fairway woods right now and always had a hard time with them in general....i resorted to hybrids and 2 irons for a long time....but i had to try the Eggs and im glad i did.....these remind me of my old kasco K2K, i used to kill those, i mean kill those from every frickin lie possible...rough/sand/ downhill/pinestraw
swisstrader
I also love my egg. Only problem I've discovered is that I cannot hit them on par 3's for the life of me. Someone else brought this up some time ago. Not sure the reason, but definitely the case with mine.

Vegaman
What kind of MONSTROUS golf courses do you play if you need to use the Egg Spoon on a par 3?
EdGolf
I also have problems hitting my Egg spoon. Not sure what's wrong but I keep topping it. Got a Ryoma F3 instead and hit it pretty solid. Now thinking if I should continue to try to learn how to hit my egg or just get rid of it.

Since I've changed to the AF202 I've never looked back, the Epon feels miles heavier , could that be the reason I kept topping the Egg? swisstrader
What kind of MONSTROUS golf courses do you play if you need to use the Egg Spoon on a par 3? We have one par 3 that's 210 and if it's into the wind, can easily play like 230. I've also tried using it off the tee for shorter par 4's and seems to like to squirt short right off the tee. FatMan
The Egg Spoon has a light head. For some, lighter isn't better. It can mess with your tempo, timing, etc. especially if the rest of your bag are heavier. Also if your swing is steep & you hit it a little fat, you can bounce off the turf leading to thinned shots. idrive
I've wasted $$$ buying a bunch of different FW's over the last few years. The Egg's always end up back in the bag. I very rarely top the ball, can't say never but not an issue. Because of the distance hype sometimes we tend to over swing??
supo
exactly what i do. on ocasions, when i have the eggs i fooishly asure my self ill get on all par 5s in 2 i try and clobber it. and end up scuffing . instead of just putting bat to ball, and letttign the egg do its thing i try and do it. bad move. 3 eggs agn now. one always comes into play. Craig
I agree The Egg both old and new is a game changer. To those who cant hit it I suggest keep trying until you can as the end result is worth it. Like Idrive I have also tried a lot of different fairway woods but the Egg always comes out on top. Like a lot of people I don't particularly like the look of it or it's sound but when I see where the ball ends up.... All is forgotten The Ryoma Driver I also think is a game changer especially for the average golfer. It's distance and accuracy is awesome. The better players may not get the same benefit but to all us average players out there it is peerless. Some of my playing partners can't hit the Egg either and I think it is certainly due to trying to overhit it. As Supo says just hit it and let the club do the work. The interesting thing is many of our learned colleagues on this site all report going back to the Egg and how foolish it was to try and better it. draven
I've found the Egg FW and i+ utilities are the exact same type of club and philosophy as well... the Egg's are the clubs in the bag that definitely prove the "easy swing, let the club do the work" thought for me. They are so light that an aggressive swing will end up in a topped ball, but putting a light, no-effort swing with the club produces spectacular results consistently, even on mis**ts. Definite game changers!
gus
I flat out adore my Egg, recently had it refinished by a master painter in all flat black and rebuilt to include a normal ferrule (hated that short little thing). Mine has the factory upgrade Fubuki Ax which is a fantastic shaft in my opinion. The new paint turned out better than factory and it turns heads every time I pull it out of the bag. The secret to this club is letting the head do all of the work, it will come to life if you simply swing it almost like a hybrid, LONG LONG club...BB Edited April 11, 2012 by BigBen

IMO it's worth modding this club up as it stays in the bag for a long time with most people.
