anggapra
i have tried fourteen rm11, tourstage x wedge, and rc db forged black. i love the solid soft feel of my rc, and its accuracy. i am inconsistent with the fourteen. also like the tourstage, but a bit too soft for my taste. xerobound
I like the Geotech tour issue wedges for the crisp feel and great reactions around the greens on shorts shots. Its not the softest feeling wedge but love how it reacts and handles around the greens. Another choice is the forged vokeys. I've always liked the looks and the shape of the USA Vokey wedges but did not like the hard feel they had. Since they produced the forged models I'm a fan of vokeys. The forged feel is noticeable on partial shots around the green and very very noticeable when hitting that full shot. Man, wedges get me fired up. I could list a few more wedges, but will keep it at that or i end up describing every wedge I thought was good. lol
JimThitipongSrivatanakul
Yururi Tour. Crazy back spin, durability, traditional looks and soft feel.
swing981
i love wedges as well..any feedback on fourteen wedges
gocchin
Wedges can be very personal. shape and size of the head, grind. finish, amount of offset, what do you like? The Vokey forged is very good and probably the most popular wedge right now. The DB Forged were fantastic. Yururi is always up there in performance. The new Romaro Ray SX which I have seen and tried at the golf fair but don't have a demo as its not released yet is something I plan on checking out thoroughly as I love its looks and design. The Fourteen RM-11 is also very good. Every year wedges are probably the hardest clubs to choose as there are always so many good ones! +TourSpecGolfer
I've played Crazy's for a couple years straight. Just replaced them with ONOFF S-Forged, another one I often go back to. Now im pre ordering these. worth every penny as I know they will satisfy me for 1+ years.
604_skyline
Chris, are you getting those crazy toyoshima's with or without the face milling? and are you able to get any more sets? send me a pm please.
Chanaa
Interesting topic - am looking for new wedges myself. Used yuyuri raws before switching to kenmochi abt 1.5 yrs ago. Yuyuri raws were great, gives a nice rough edge to it - unfortunately, it chews up my prov1s like theres no tomorrow. Also not easy to use. Kenmochis are soft, but dont seem to get a good grip on the greens. Looking at vokey forges & rc db forges - tho, leaning towards vokeys as db's highest loft is 58 only
idrive
Was just looking in my wedge bag.... Chikara Gold's Factory Tourstage OnOff Crazy PRGR Sky Dream Jump Epon Pro Preference Yururi Muira Haven't played the Japan forged Vokey. I know they're good. Still would have a tough time making the bag.... anyway It's what your course brings you. Lush? Hard pan? Soft bunkers? Hard bunkers? I could go on. I find different wedges with different grinds all have their application. Find the right grind and wedges for yours. The Vokey's with all their different loft and bounce options pretty well cover everybody. If I had to pick one company..... as big a fan of Sky Dream Jump as I am... I'd probably take the forged Vokey's because of all the different options. Good Luck

+TourSpecGolfer
Chris, are you getting those crazy toyoshima's with or without the face milling? and are you able to get any more sets? send me a pm please. With face milling, I think this one only comes satin plated w/ mill and yes they will be in the pro shop soon. I would say order it as soon as it goes in. Crazy wedges sell out. Blader-X
My best wedge is the 56 degree Royal Collection DB Forged. From feel, to grind, bounce everything. Can hit any shot with this club. Second and not by much are the new Vokey Forged. Now have a 46 and 62, with the 62 replacing the Fourteen. The 46 is deadly accurate and a great chipping club. The 62 has a much more favorable grind pattern than the Fourteen it replaced. Not as much camber and a little in line with the RC. Vokeys have always had a great look and now with them being forged, the feel is there as well. My wedges are without a doubt my favorite clubs in the bag. Thinking about picking up a 50 degree RC as well as another 56 just for backup.

Seriously thinking about getting the 46 with the same shaft to replace the my stock PW but not sure it would go the same distance as the my normal softer shaft PW. Mjr. D
Tried the old Tourstage X wedges - firm but good spin, accurate. Had the original Epon X and Tecnhity wedges - loved the X in copper - probably my all time favourite for feel. Have gold's now - they're solid all around and pretty forgiving. Also have Sky Dream Jump type bite - excellent spin, firmer feel but great control. Less forgiving than the gold's though. Had the Epon KGX wedges - great spin but I didn't hit them well. Feel wasn't quite as good as the Epon X wedge. Had Yururi's when they apparently sucked... Didn't like the feel of the raw finish but spun pretty well. Had Fourteen MTsomething - great wedge. Nice feel, nice spin, accurate, pretty looking. Also have a US Vokey and had Cleveland CGsomethings... Vokey I still use - it's great! Clevelands were also quite nice. zwan
Currently playing the RC Limited DB Forged Proto - Shimada K's-Wedge HW120 and not banning them out of my bag any time soooooon. Played the KZG Forged before but these were not even close to what I've got now. Would also go and try the Yamaha 2011 Inpres X V Forged Wedge if I had the change to get hold of but ... perhaps you could?
EPONfreak
I like my Epon 210 51*, nice compactish size/shape that will appeal to better players, nice sole grind for a variety of shots/lies, conforming grooves but heaps of spin, beautiful feel as expected from Epon. I also still play a couple of 208 wedges but IMO they are too large and weren't overly nice to use. It took a lot of grinding & bending to get them right and I know how they perform so they're still in the bag for the moment. I have a couple of thoughts for 55* & 60* replacements for the 208's and am thinking either titleist forged or Yururi Tour.

supo
i used a set of the yururi raw last week and i gotta say iwas shocked at how much moret hese spun than the yonex ezones we shot 10 balls to the pin with the yonex and the yyururi and it was no contest the yonex tho are more versatile , but fr out and out stopping power, well im re building my kyoei raws as we speak. i gamed the yamahas a lot as well and they are ( for conforming ) seriously good wedges. the bets feeling af all. plus they are versatile , bec they have such a tiny thin sole. i cant beat the tourstage x wedges tho , overall, tru thte yururi spin more. but i get the most consistant shots with the marus. gbs
hmmmm, i love my epons but maybe bcoz i know it inside out. but i have to say that the Geotech Tours are very nice and easy to use. Oh also after trying duffer's vokey forged i think i might get one of those soon. The Yururi raws are awesome but they simply destroy too many balls. IF, If i say I'm sorry to hear that :-( I really appreciate your rule alot I must admit. You mentioned being envious about Stews luck living in the Bermuda triangle of golf, well I live in SWITZERLAND where you never get hold of great gear besides perhaps ONOFF, Maruman and some all the other international USDM companies but never Epon of RC or Yamaha etc. so don't expect them to return, bro ;-)
+TourSpecGolfer
The new Geotech Tour Issue is IMO the most underrated wedge available in Japan.
