mygreenaliem
Got my UT built today and took it straight to range. Fitted with Crazy UT shaft. Wow! Absolutely brilliant. Been missing a three iron for a while now, and this puppy is going to fill the gap good and reckon its gonna be my go to safe play shot too. Lovely flight and consistent striking. Great combo. RIduffer
I do, actually got 3 of them,18*, 21* and 24* and am also trying the iBrid… Am in the process of getting the UTs shafted up with the Attas Hybrid as found that to be a phenomenal shaft. I can get up to 260 with the 18* playing 41". The iBrid I put the Attas Tour iron in, but that is not a good match, I don't think. Will be putting the Hybrid Attas in it soon enough... Right now my game bag consists of RomaRo top to bottom except the driver and putter...
dodo
I was wondering how the iBird is playing different then UT as I like the smaller head. The UT is probably longer as it has a titanium face and probably more forgiving. I just got the 460 HX 10* black driver with the Crazy Black 46 and it is longer the my Ryoma 9.5* with the same shaft. If you get a different shaft in the iBird I would like to hear the difference between the 2.
+TourSpecGolfer
RomaRo makes some seriously good product. Nice attention to detail. Performance and quality as well.

The iBrids have a 1* stronger loft and I do not think there is a distance difference. I would say the UT is more FW like and the iBrid is more iron like. The Tour Attas iron shaft in the iBrid, I seem to be having issues out of deeper rough. I like the smaller head size too and it is a more solid feeling head. Much more similar to the ONOFF Black hybrids... I will let you know the differences in shafts once I get them taken care of...
Blader-X
From a "looks" standpoint this has become my new favorite brand although I have yet to try anything they make. The muscle back blades appeal to me. Anyone have an idea as to where these are forged?
RIduffer
From the conversation I had with Tario before buying them Pro Forged, they were forged at Kyoei… They feel as good as they look. At this point they are on par or better than the Epon Personals… Not sure how much the shaft is playing a role in that, but they are great clubs... Do they keep the flight and spin down in the Romaros? Cheers
RIduffer
Yes, they seem to give me the most penetrating ball flight when compared to my Crazy/TS 905 MB or the UST Tour SPX/Epon Personals combos... According to Tario the Tour shafts are 50T graphite...

RIduffer
Thanks - now on my wish list!! I have been wanting to try the Roddio for a long time now, just can't find blades I like that can have them… What do you think of them? Have on i8 in a 27* hybrid trimmed to an X and like that club a lot...
daamartin
Hi RIduffer, I think the Roddio i10sx are really nice. No probs keeping the ball down, plenty smooth, and they typically give me a gentle left to right ballflight unless I really try to turn it over. If I really step on it they always surprise me how well they handle it - really punchy and easy to hit 1-1.5 clubs longer (if you need to, but not if you don't). I had a bad left wrist problem earlier this year and so got them for that - home course has very, very hard ground. My wrist is now 100% and I'm going to keep playing them for that reason alone......if I can play more golf with no injuries I am happy!!! Problem is - it has now piqued my interest in other exotic graphite iron shafts - oh dear!!!!!!
RIduffer
Da, I picked up the graphite for injury avoidanc too. Play frequently during the season and probably both earlier and later than I should. More than one occasion had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for my hands to recover on thinned shots. Also just the joint wear and tear... Played a lot of tennis as a kid so trying not to compound that damage... Have tried the Fuji Rombax, Crazy CBI 2, Tour Attas, and UST Tour SPX. So far Attas are tops. Also have 44 grams of weight in the butt end of my clubs to add weight without having to play rebar...
Ian-500
You guys tried the Quadra graphite shafts? Superb feel with very tight dispersion. Might be a bit too high for you guys, but with their height comes massive distance. Sandee11 bought my Yamaha Tours shafted with these, and he'll vouch for how good they are. Nope haven't tried those, but I bet thay are good based on my driver performance with the FEX Proto!!!. Diamana thump were the others I think sound good (I need to keep flight down). My favourite (and best performing) shafts are the Project X satins......but my left wrist just gives up if I play with them too much (unless on lush soft turf). RIduffer
The only FEX I have tried to date is the hybrid... Couldn't get my swing aroud it... Felt great but... Every conversation I have had about it is higher launch on the iron side... So while it might feel good am shooting for Roddio first... xerobound
Great quality! Very easy to control out of various lies. The face is very hot!
RIduffer
Have decided to stick with the Attas Hbrid shaft. Seems to work best for me. When struck right, can't get 260 with the18* head. They play like really compact fairway woods. The iBrids play more like GI irons except you can shape shots really well with them. Even more compact then the ONOFF Fairway Wings... Will be fun to compare the RomaRo with the Epon UT.... They seem to be very similar spec wise... Just have to bore the hosel a tad on the Epon. EPONfreak
Right now my game bag consists of RomaRo top to bottom except the driver and putter... So Top to bottom but not top or bottom :)
RIduffer
So Top to bottom but not top or bottom :) Fair enough, although I frequently don't bring the driver to my home course. So some days your statement holds, some days just lacking the putter, 18* hybrid to 60* wedge all RR.... Intended to get a RomaRo putter but opted for one of the last Zens at TSG... dodo
I see you play the Romaro Ray VX 52,56 and the Alcobaca 60 wedges do you like this set up can you comparair them with the Titleist?
