supo
so, Goldmans bought my local range a few weeks ago. no biggie there except they put the per ball price up to .. wait for it...... 23yenP/B 30 cents per ball. thats JUST naaaaaaaaaaaasty! but they did put a trackman in permantly in bay 13. an extra 500 yen for 30 mins... not bad at all. the clubs. yamaha tour 2012--crazy cb-50 8.2 45.25 inch 10* solid contacts--crazy 50 sigma 7.7 44.75 inch 10.5* kamui pro k-px---GD p9003x 44 inch 10.5* kamui pro k-px---diamana X 70s 45.25 inch 9.5* epon zero---crazy ls noir 7.7 44.75 inch 10.5* hit a few balls with each and tok the snapshot of the results of the balls i got clean. results..............., solid contacts --sigma 65m/s ball speed. 11.9* launch angle spin rate 3733 carry 247 overall distance 261 this is the set up i liked the least, didnt feel great and found it hard to get left at all. everything went slice love the look of the face on this driver better than all. conclusion need shorter GD p9003x will be perfect. kamui pro--diamana X ball speed 66.1 m/s launch angle 11.7 spin rate 1998 carry 243.4 overall 276.6 liked this for a strong penetrating flight and uber stable in bad conditions. good driver!!!!!! yamaha tour 2012--crazy cb 50 ball speed 67.2 launch angle 11.4 spin 2555 carry 250.9 overall 274.1 only needed to hit this twice as usual. love it. its "trusty" kamui pro--p9003x bs--67.4 la-12.1 carry 252.8 dist.- 277.2 shorter club made for control that turned out to be "hammer time" to be honest.. afterhitting this theres no point i hit anything else. but i will and do. this will be gamed on a seriously regular basis. after thought the guy in sydney "virge" that makes my clubs downunder made this , took it to the range last thrusday and said this is hte best club hes ever hit and the head is easily the best head he ever hit "what the hell is it?" i now tend to agree. epon zero--ls noir bs 67.5 la 12.3 carry 242.3 overall 269.8 i still maintain this is the best of the drivers when hit well. and the worst when not. i need somone here to translate these numbers for me bec for a start im not sure if they are that accurate. certianly not what i got in real matches for a start the epon has a lot more roll than i got on here but the overall range on the trackman indiacted it had the least carry. the kamui 9.5 is REAL low . i think lower than the equivalent epon. im going back agn this week with a heap of irons to test heres an interesting stat..............., prgr egg 17* crazy fw 8.2 yamaha v 17 diamana stinger 70x prgr egg bs 61.6 la 11.6 carry 218 overall 239 yamaha v 17 bs 63.4 la18.8 carry 219 overall 242.6 THIS really shocked me to see. i expected much bigger gains with the egg. oh and the iron i took srixon pro 100-- ns proto DP x ( tour proto to the modus 3) bs 53.4 la 16.2 spin 5841 carry 171.9 overall dist. 186.1 these are fantastic clubs i hope these numbers are what i "need" thoughts pls fellas Edited May 7, 2012 by supo67

+TourSpecGolfer
Are these combined averages of each swing or did you select better than average shots to highlight?
DaleUK
Just wish we had something like that at our ranges!
daamartin
Also guessing these distances are in metres Stew? Did you have to add any head weight to the 44 inch driver? Do ya reckon that one would be the straightest?
supo
the results were one off shots where i got the ball clean in yards he yamaha i only hit twice both the same. the epon i hit once. the gdp9003x with kamui i hit about10 times the rsults posted was one of the better shots. trackman had position on the virtual range of where all the balls eneded up, plus trajectory around straight most of my shots were right of centre and the longest ones were just left. the longest average of the driver s were both kamuis . the crazy was shortest the plot of ball dispersion was all pretty close to be honest taking away the mahoooosive slices when i treid to hit itoo hard just for affect. on my swings i tried to replicate the exaact swing each time. for me if................. iwas given l lthese and told to choose one . the club out of these id game would be the yamaha tour , as it was the easist to hit and the resulsts were spot on . didnt feel like i had to muscle it up the others i think i need to hit hard except for the diaman x , that was longer , but the yamaha felt better

supo
well u realise its not just playing golf up here, bec no one here does that ,theres no weekend comps. its all setai(business) golf which SUX i cant get a comp, hence my bud and i haveto play match play nassau to get the feeling of competition. not even a stableford comp! plus there are 3 huge driving ranges 15 mins from my house, with trackman. makes it a noi brainer to go out hitting pils a cpl of times a week. not to mention the 3 bigges retailers on my way home... im trapped in a JDM golfing matrix . thast why i love going home and gettign back to basics and palying comp on links. the real results come out there every time, theres no hidding! shacco
Interesting results. As far as the fw numbers are concerned, the launch angle on the egg seem really low. Might be the reason for the loss in distance. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
supo
yes this egg doesnt go high the 8.2 crz fw flex sees to that. its more penetrating than high lobbing this one. its good for hitting from fairways in all conds. much easier than the 15* egg. got this one good too. quite a shock to see hwo close the yamaha was in the same * to be honest i like hiting the yamaha better
