Ian-500
I have the chance to purchase 1 of these 3 older JDM drivers: Yamaha Inpress X 445D, 10deg with DX506-D Double Speed stiff shaft Tourstage X-Drive 405, 8.5deg with a Fujikura Vista Tour Series 70 stiff shaft Callaway ERC Fusion HOT, 9deg with a Grafalloy NT Prototype 85 stiff shaft Has anyone ever hit 1 of these? Which 1 would you game if they're all the same price. I know that some/all of them are non-conforming but that doesn't bother me. Are they as good as a Cobra Speed Pro with a GD YS7+ in x stiff? Just need some info on what they feel like, sound like, good distance and accuracy? What would the ball flight be like with 103 SS with a smooth take back but is fairly aggressive in the down swing. Let me know your thoughts boys and girls. Thanks, Ian.

JakeBarnes
Only one I have played is the Tourstage 405. Really liked it because it had a deeper face than most drivers at the time I played it and reduced my spin numbers (a must for any driver I play) but launched a bit high for an 8.5* (although, it could have been the shaft). Surprisingly forgiving and looks great at setup.
Henry
Can't go wrong with any of them!
Ian-500
Thanks Jake. 1 for the Tourstage. Henry - I take it that you've tried all of them? Edited June 7, 2012 by Ian-
Henry
I was lucky enough to try all of them at various time. If I had to give an edge to one of them, it would be Tourstage X- Drive 405. Excellent feel and I always liked the muted sound at impact. Edited June 7, 2012 by Henry
Ian-500
Ok then cool. That's 2 for the Tourstage and 1 for the Yamaha
+TourSpecGolfer
I don't think any of them represent JDM drivers very well. Even on a super tight budget I can think of so many better clubs. None of those are very forgiving. If I had to give the nod to any of those it would be the Yamaha. I hope your not paying much for these. They are dated. Ian-500
These will all be under $100 easy. Financies are really tight but I want to stay with JDM. What other drivers of a similar ilk do you suggest I look at? The problem is, if these drivers aren't better than a Cobra Speed Pro then I may as well go with that. Anyone played 1 of these and have experience of the JDM I've mentioned
supo
yea i told u i built the yamaha last weekend.. its bloody good belts the hell outta the ball . very long. small compact head.., 410 cc i and very workable. as chris said not really that forgiving at all. i puthe GD bb6x in it and ill say i like it a lot. prob NOT as good as the new ones, in fact.... its quite away behind. but its miles better than the callway and no idea abt the TS sorry
