Posted July 9, 201212 yr comment_182393 Here is collaboration number 1: Kamikaze, pearl white shaft with red and black graphics. This is still a prototype and may not necessarily be what the finished product looks like. We have a second design/model that should be ready as well soon.
July 9, 201212 yr comment_182400 just the red and back would be better(for me)..... don't like the white.... nice to have the collaboration though!
July 9, 201212 yr comment_182414 the colors work for me......the name ....not so much..... i rather have it named after some samurai legend or prophecy or something more ethereal.....
July 9, 201212 yr comment_182415 Are these the same spec as a normal crazy shaft just with different graphics? More important... how much????
July 9, 201212 yr comment_182416 the colors work for me......the name ....not so much..... i rather have it named after some samurai legend or prophecy or something more ethereal..... There's actually a link between kamikazee suicide pilots and the samurai way of life that was all about choosing death vs defeat or capture or loss of honor. That being said, I'm not sure the suicide theme is best here. Also, Kamikazee in the US is an alcoholic drink that usually young college kids drink until they pass out, so perhaps not the best image!
July 9, 201212 yr comment_182417 sounds like a good combo for RocketBallz :) graphics are pretty good me thinks.
July 10, 201212 yr comment_182427 I used to consume copius amounts of thebgreen drink back in the day, Not as weak as you think. How about something in the lines of Bushido?
July 10, 201212 yr comment_182428 what kind of specs are these going to come out at. and price range. we talking 80t? i dont mid the colour scheme, looks fine to me. maybe a little differnt style font might be an idea. the name...hmmmmm i dont mind it but im sure this aint aimed at my area. yea ....,prob better to soften that name up a bit . like the idea tho gettiing ur own shaft. supo pro/ proto tour X-long, /+19y would be my shaft. in ferarri RED
July 10, 201212 yr comment_182430 Kamikaze means "divine wind" and it's actually from the 13th century. A huge Mongol army (sent by Genghis Khan) attempted to land in Japan and invade it. The Japanese fought back and managed to prevent a serious landing, but the Mongol fleet was still moored offshore waiting to launch a new attack. A great storm blew up and many Mongol ships were sunk. There weren't enough troops left for an invasion and the survivors retreated back to mainland Asia. The storm was seen as divine intervention - divine wind - Kamikaze.
July 10, 201212 yr comment_182432 I'd simply name it Tourspec I do agree that the name is really not a good fit..... Like the looks tho
July 10, 201212 yr comment_182448 Thanks for your comments but were sticking with this name guys. These are just custom graphics we "might" be offering in the future.
July 10, 201212 yr comment_182449 Graphics idea: Maybe have the TSG logo & Crazy logo together at address like a roddio shaft then the bottom half with graphics
July 10, 201212 yr comment_182456 for some americans, the word kamikaze brings back negative memories..... Edited July 10, 201212 yr by robbie
July 10, 201212 yr comment_182458 I was never one to shy away from controversy. The stealth fighter and rising sun also adds fuel to that fire doesn't it. It was designed by the infamous Jumbo Karakuchi. The Kamikaze will be a special shaft graphic for the Royal Decoration available as an upgrade option. We're selecting our favorite Crazy shafts and kicking it up a notch. If its not for you great stick with the standard graphics. You guys will love what we have coming next... Or not ;o)
July 10, 201212 yr comment_182469 not just americans.........very poorly thought out branding really My thought exactly. Reminds a lot from Asia of a very bad and evil Japan which did a lot more than they are still willing to admit. But this s a golf forum so we will let sleeping dogs lie.
