Ok it's getting that time of the year when Santa turns up ...

So it's new iron time!!

Short list:

Epon 302 in Copper....didn't have no luck with the 502's but like Epon

Yamaha 2013 irons ... To match the Trio of woods inbound!!

Onoff 2013's.... If these are half as good as my 2012's I'd be happy.. But I fancy a change :-(

Oh and what's my 4-PW Onoffs worth ??

Out of that list I'd choose the Yamahas. Give yourself more headaches by adding RomaRo and PRGR to your list!

The RomaRo stuff is def worth a shot. Copper 302s would be right up there. I either want to sell mine and buy copper or have mine refinished this winter. I personally am not enamored with the Yamaha aesthetics but I am sure they are a fabulous iron. I just ordered a combo set of Ray H and Pro Forged from RomaRo I am pretty stoked about.

Definitely the Yamahas if that's the extent of your options.

I'm playing both the Yamaha 2012 tourmodel & Miura BB. I guess Yamaha really screams quality and performance just addicted with them.

I'll get Yamaha 2013 you can't go wrong with those.

I am really intrigued by the new Yamaha irons line up. I really cannot imagine that a muscle back design can be nearly as forgiving as a cavity back. I know Yamaha claims that they achieved the same MOI as the 2012 cavity backs, but it is hard to believe. I am really interested in the first reviews.

302 modus. just like old times!

Yep C, but you also know why I hesitate !!;-)

As for the Yams, I too can't see how the blade design can give forgiveness like a CB

It doesn´t get any better than this! The only thing I would upgrade to, is the same set with a copper finish. Too bad nobody wants to get rid of their set. ;)

Because it basically is a cavity back design. The only difference between the Yamaha tour model and a normal players cavity back is a little bit of steel on the toe and heel to connect the perimeter weighting seen along the bottom and top line.

I'm not dogging the design or the concept just stating the facts. Calling it a blade is a misnomer.

Just get the 302's in copper chrome already ;-)

and may as well get matching copper chrome wedges while you order them.... got a 50 degree myself to go with the 301's (and then the forged TM ATV's for the fiddly 56 and 64 stuff.... in desperate hope it may help my clunky short game)

Copper chrome...mmmmmmmmm.

well, in that case.. I don't think you have any real option except to get a set of 302's in copper chrome. :tsg_smiley_santa:

It's not like you're going to regret it.

Just get fitted for the perfect shaft for them, to save any faffing around later. And I still love & recommend Gripmaster leather grips... gloves not needed.

Shaft are sorted, Modus3's.... Soft stepped!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas !!
