Posted December 29, 201212 yr I just got hold of the new GT Forged Tour Issue w/ Concave Sole wedge from Geotech. It's pretty nice. It's better quality than some other more expensive brands it's got nice deep and sharp groves along with an attractive plated satin finish to it. I haven't hit it yet but they look really good up close and for under a hundred bucks you can't go wrong.
December 29, 201212 yr I think the pictures Chris takes are almost unfair. Everything looks great with the way he snaps photos...
December 30, 201212 yr Interested to know what is the effect of that sole design, from the golfers experience, not the brochure!
December 30, 201212 yr Is the hosel a straight neck? It looks like it goes in like the older gauge design wedges. Also, what are the bounce for the 50, 53, 56 and 60 pls? Edited December 30, 201212 yr by wmclarenf1
December 30, 201212 yr I'm ready to try this one out! Can't wait to see how the Concave Sole performs in various conditions.
December 31, 201212 yr If I were a single man I'd have had Chris take my match.com picture... All kidding aside these look nice. Maybe a bit too round for me but for the price and the renegar style sole it is definitely worth a look.
December 31, 201212 yr How do they play compared to your old onoffs and those Miuras you tried out? These are soft, maybe not as soft as the Miuras but Deffo better than the onoffs! Nice feeling clubs

Now that my irons, driver and putter seem to be sorted, I'm looking to replace some of my non-conform wedges. How do these spin for you comparef to the Miuras? From your compare to the Miuras also, I gather these are rather firm feeling as I found Miuras not as soft (which I wanted) as the Epon Technity wedges I used to play.

I guess the softness is all subjective BUT the GeoTech for the money is something worth looking at! Feel is as good if not better that most high end and more expensive wedges!( I've always gauged every wedge on my Epon 208's) These I used have the spinner shaft fitted so I guess it's hard to give a comparison to the Miuras as it had a Shimada (?)wedge shaft! Spin on both were good, again very hard to get feed back as the Greens have been soaked and to be fair, it's been like throwing Darts, everything to stops dead in its pitch mark! The only thing I think people will struggle with is the Brand!!.. Shame , because everything I've tried from them as been brilliant!!

I ain;t as brand conscious as most.. as long as it works :-) And the 60 head has a lowish bounce so maybe I'll get that in to try first and then take it from there. Thanks again.
