wmclarenf1
My coach's son took over the operation of the driving range I frequent and they started today. I thought it'd be nice to go show some support and decided to go buy and hit some balls. Apart form my playing clubs, I also brought a loaned Gold's Factory iron just for fun and after all I have been reading about it, I was really expecting a really nice, soft and solid feeing club. I hit it beside my Epon Technity Pro I and RomaRo H.. For ME... and I understand others will have a very different experience and that the following comments may rub some the wrong way given the cult following of Golds .... I found it EXTREMELY disappointing and in fact rather horrible. Not soft by any means and actually felt very empty and hollow (no it can;t be due to the fact that its a CB :-) ). Could be a very isolated experience for me but I do not think I will be venturing into any GF equipment henceforth. Just thought I'd share this... Happy 2013 all! corky3
don't judge their putters by their irons....... would be my opinion. I have never tried their irons or wedges but have had 2 putters and they were as food as any premium putter out there. DASS GSS etc.

idrive
What shaft? I have this set of irons w/KBS Tours. Every time I take them out and play I wonder why I don't just keep them in the bag. I have approx. 100 Putters from all the different OEM's inc. George Spirits and you're missing out on Putting with the best Putters on the Planet

I have not played their putters but frankly, unless I can get my hands on a demo, I'm not inclined to pay a couple of grand to try their putters especially after this experience. Sasaya custom makes the best putters in the world. His latest wedge is no slouch, it stacks with the best of them. He doesn't even produce irons anymore. The GS I have right now actually doesn't feel that good and soft but the putts are rolling and most importantly sinking. I can live results over lack of a nice feel but can;t suffer vice versa. Heck, I lived and had a decent putting average with a very much retail China made Yes Callie LOL.
xerobound
Interesting. I love his putters and wedges, but never tried his irons. Too bad he doesn't produce them anymore (Or maybe good, so he can concentrate on more putters and wedges :) I would have loved to compare them myself. If you had the same putter minus the slit then it would feel fantastic.
