A Few days ago I shared images of the SWS forged Iron. This is the SWS Tour model. It has a different shape, grind, & weighting system.

It allows you to adjust the feel & bias via weight screws that you can change. Very cool concept that is being implemented very well imo.

Wow that's sharp. Lots can be done with this iron with changing those weights, not just for weighting but for looks too. Geotech would be wise to pursue some custom weight colors, finishes, and designs for these.

The satin finish looks really smart. Is the tour model the same price as the non-tour?

Just checked........twice the price!

Yep stamp tour on it and mark it way up.

Geotech's been producing some great irons. I love the concept of having more options for the irons. If they put it on drivers why not the irons. :)

The price increase probably comes from those weight ports? costly to make I would guess..

I may be all wrong but my guess is that because all muscleback irons across all brands seem to almost universally be higher priced that perhaps the lower consumer demand forces a higher retail price per unit to recoup the R&D and tooling costs for that model. Add in the appeal of anything stamped with the 4 magic letters T - O - U - R and an additional weight port over the muscle cavity version and that probably accounts for the variance in price between this and the other models.

What the..............

These look ALOT like the drawing I said I had made with the two weight ports in the other Geo thread.... I'm going to sue!!!!!!

Taylormade will be releasing something like this next year and of course, will claim they have once again revolutionized the Iron.

TM version will have self adjusted lie and loft angle :tsg_smiley_streak:

Adjustable weights in Iron heads...interesting. Something "new".....well, not quite. I gamed a set of Titleist Irons 44 years ago that had the same type of weighting system by using disks underneath the two screw caps that gave you a huge number of tuning options. Titleist gave you a wrench and extra tungsten weight disks when you bought the set. Wore that set out (down to the copper) and couldn't find another set.....Non-Internet days, etc back then,.so many visits were made to all neighboring Golf Shops in the search but came up empty.....moved on......but I remember those Titleist very well.

I was reading somewhere that GeoTech is owned by Dynacraft or something like that and GeoTEchs are brought into Japan from elsewhere. Is this true and where are GeoTechs made?

I must say some of their irons and wedges do look good. I'm not sure I seem the long term playing benefit of weight adjustable irons apart from swing weight, COG fitting benefits but how often do you change that.

From what I have seen their most premium iron heads, and the more simple classic designs are forged in Japan, and the others are made in China. Especially the cast stuff.

It would be a huge benefit to me right now as I try to get a set of irons to d4 without putting 14g of lead or tungsten down the shaft!
