Posted January 4, 201312 yr Montana winter is hitting my checkbook really hard!! No play time so I keep wanting to try new equipment. This round I am checking out putters. My gamer has been an Odyssey #7CS ix for about a year or so, but that last Byron GSS that was on BST got me really thinking to play anser putters again. I have a Ezone EZP S20C at the moment, but wanted to explore other brands and SUS303 So I just got my first GF putter. It bought it used ( and perhaps paid too much for it... oh well ) I believe this particular putter belonged to a member here at some point. It is a Gold's Factory Prototype T102 serial 005 made of SUS 303 <Assuming it is a JIS SUS303> I wanted to try a Gold's putter to experience what I have been hearing as one of the best in the business. This one does not have a milled face, so when compared to my EZone EZP-001 with a deep milled face, it does feel a bit firmer. The balance of the T102 is exceptional, I think with help from the pair of tungsten weights on the face. Seems like I get a more consistent stroke path with the T102. I am now thinking that I should send the T102 in for a GF tune up and perhaps get the face milled for enhanced feel and roll. I am now waiting delivery on a Kitada SUS303 head that I will be comparing against. Some pics for comparo.
January 5, 201312 yr Looks good man. Definitely get the milling done! Love the simplicity of it...lot of GF stuff is way over the top for me but that's perfect.
January 6, 201312 yr That was mine originally..... I saw it on the GF site and when i enquired was told there were no more..... but S San made it anyway. Always loved the polished sole, misted top combo.... was/ is a great putter ...... roll 'em in!
January 7, 201312 yr Great looking simple putter. I would wait on milling until you've gamed it for a while. Once you go milled, can't go back.
January 7, 201312 yr Author Thanks for the advise. I think I will wait until I game it. I'm kinda liking the firm feel as it is currently.
