Posted January 12, 201312 yr I have been after jdm maru wedges quite long time. I finally got them from idrive.... with good price ^^ Here are some pics. Can't wait to test them and compare with Crazy and GF wedges. Thanks J!!
January 12, 201312 yr Those are one of a kind ya know. Originally I bought them brand new years ago in the standard flat black finish and I sent them for a refinish in Himeji. No other Maru wedges are brushed satin like those. Congrats I totally forgot who had them.
January 12, 201312 yr Wow, great find Tae! What a nice guy that Idrive! Looking forward to your next garage sale brah! Edited January 12, 201312 yr by Baddmnkey
January 12, 201312 yr Not sure if this will translate internationally but here goes anyway... Sexy from behind, but are they butter faces?
January 12, 201312 yr Tae, not sure I understand the distinction. I would think all Tourstage Maru signature wedges were JDM? I don't recall Bridgestone releasing a US domestic line with MR 23 scheme. Different years with different designs to match his irons, but no US counterparts with his signature?
January 12, 201312 yr They are the only setof silver. May i recomend a shaft for u Conidering these are my gamers....... For.ive prob tried them all in these heads and the heafs are very light They came stock with x100 snd thrres not much better They are quite soft at impact without being muuuushi so i prefer to hit a slightly firmer shaft so the ball doesnt get get lost on the face at impact. Monacco 8 iron X100 Shimada ks tour hm120 Ns 1150x These might just add to ur wedging pleasure Jeff must be loving the miuras to let em go Good pick up In summer u wont wanna hit anything else but u can easily go with more weight on them Edited January 13, 201312 yr by supo67
January 12, 201312 yr Looks great! I never had a chance to come across those wedges. Any insight on performance?
January 13, 201312 yr pear shaped . small compact, thin topline. light weight as i said.. wide soles with higher bounce for slicing mahoooooosive beeeeevahhhh pelts thru the japanese fairways. spin is very good. very very good. and the versatility is. considering the width of the soles very impressive. put it likwe this. in summer here or where ever the grass is fairly FULL and lush.. theres no other wedge id ever consider. all my best shafts are in these heads. ive basically returned to yamaha 10s bec the sole is tiny thin for say aussie thin pna tough lie conditions ... and these ,... they both suit my eye , pear shaoped for great imagination. they ant ballshredders. bu u can cut accross these and the ball will sit dead still no probs. i stumbled on them a few years abck and ive never been without them since. tried everything else in betwen, but the shape of these just gets me back.
January 13, 201312 yr I own a set compliments of Stew...only got to hit them on the range due to lovely NY winters, but the most solid wedges in terms of feel I've ever felt. Chipping is my nemesis, but just about any swing I put on these wedges felt rock solid.
January 15, 201312 yr Author Played two rounds.... They feel great. Spun a lot..... I finished many holes with one putt. But they scratch ball with full swing... like chikara. In terms of feeling, it's very solid and accurate. Thinking about putting shimada or kbs tour custom. Will see how they play
