My SS is 102 to 108. Maxed out 108 which I don't normally achieve. What shaft to get max distance and best feel?? I know these heads are not known for great feel but I don't want a board like shaft that will launch too low and feel terrible. Thanks in advance.

lol, i was going to recommend that head to you but saw that it was sold and figured it was too late! glad it was you!

take a look at spoon's bst ad for the crazy ly-02 la bomba. it will be the perfect soft feeling draw biased shaft for that head...and it's a bargain at that price!

In Japan, they used to sell the Crazy TJ46 along with the CRZ435 heads.

Supposedly a tried and true combo that produced some amazing stats.

Have fun choosing the shaft!

That is what I have been using with success in my 10* 435 and was about to recommend that. I think Byron also recommends the TJ-46 for his swing speed range. And as an added peach, the color scheme of the TJ46 fits the Jbeam head very nicely.

Actually the feel of these heads are quite nice in my opinion. DAT55 face provides a very springy yet soft feel at impact.

Sound may not be the best. but the CRZ I had was not bad at all.

Seems to make some difference on sound depending on how tightly you tighten down those weight screws.

Many times, the rubber O-ring on the weight screws could be worn out or completely gone in which case you may end up with a higher pitched tinny sound.

Similar O-rings can be found at a local ACE hardware store for next to nothing.

Okay, that is good information. I almost got the tj46 but at 6.9 with an already closed face I wanted to avoid a hook machine. My grip is 3 nuckles strong anyway. Add to the fact that my launch lab is open at address. I just want a nice 5 to 10 yard draw to max out my distance, our course favors a draw anyway.

If you;re more a swinger profile, I think a 6.9 with your 102 should be nice. Then again, I come from the "play the softest you can control" school.

it is the longest yard 02 in white. very cool looking shaft. I guess I got a great deal according to chiromikey who seems to know his stuff. I am no a smooth swinger. On the range i have a small radar that stays at 105 to 106 when i start to go after it. Not great but I think I can handle the 7.2 flex. This should be a nice combo. I hope this ends my driver search. If the launch lab was a draw biased club I would be set.

Also currently experimenting with that shaft. Very good so far, but too early to tell. If anything I think that the 7.2 flex could be to soft for yor SS. I thought the crazy play stiffer to flex. I have the ly02 in stiff flex, which I think is equivalent to the 7.2 i think and I am slower than you. On my first test, i didn't think it was too stiff which was what I was afraid of.

Not true. It depends on the model. For the TJ46, stiff is 7.2 and for another model from the Black range, stiff could be 7.4. Case in point... the LY01 Noir and the LY01 Hot Black I think or at least that is what I noticed for the regular flexes where the former is 6.2 and the latter 6.4.

SR would be more 6.7 and 6.9 depending n which model I think.

I have the 80LS Noir 7.4 on a 435 head. My swing speed is around 105 mph with a smooth swing and this shaft flex is a good match for me.

I have it on a Crazy S-531B Proto SX - very light (52g) and it's working perfectly.

Might sell it pretty soon. Any interest let me know ;)

3 hours until the show down Jbeam/labomba VS Adams Launch Lab. I will try to be patient with the Jbeam and give it plenty of time. I will tape the top line to be safe with this one.
