Posted April 7, 201311 yr got this from nudgegolf and whoever pulled the shaft used too much heat and blistered the paint near the hosel. i had my buddy do his thing and i think this is how the 435 should have come from the factory!
April 7, 201311 yr Holy crap, this looks awesome. Your mate is very talented - I have an old favourite ft9 TA that would look awesome in this finish! Hope it goes well for ya!
April 7, 201311 yr VERY nice, does he have a more matte version of his matte black? In the pics the paint looks thick. You kindly introduced me to him I should contact him as I've got a bunch of drivers that could be spruced up. I assume his background in is automotive air brushing?
April 7, 201311 yr Author his background is custom motorcycle painting but he had several factory contracts as well. this is a textured matte but i'l ask him about other finishes.
April 8, 201311 yr Author awwwwwwwwwwwwwwe shucks .... in coming from me. lol, does that mean you likey!??!
April 8, 201311 yr looks great! any chance you can get a writeup from him on how to do this? unless its one of those dont try it at home kids things and requires pro skills and tools.

April 8, 201311 yr Mike that looks great. My Jbeam/labomba will get a test run today. I may have that color done by Continental golf if it becomes my gamer. I love the flat black. My LLab looks great in this color.

April 8, 201311 yr ok, now i can definitely see its not a diy job :) dragon crown does look real cool too but its more like an art piece, i know something like that would bother me at address. i think matte finish is the way to go on a gamer.
April 8, 201311 yr Author at first thought one would think it might be a distraction but after the first swing or two, i never noticed it at address again.
