+TourSpecGolfer
I'll start by posting pics, please insert your feedback. I've had my run with it, don't think the shaft is for me. The first few rounds I could handle this driver thru holes #1- 8 but after that I think the shaft gets to me. I've had 3 rounds with it and so far think it's for a better striker than I. Talking about just the head itself it's classic JDM. reminds me of TourStage drivers of old, impact was firm but really nice, a muted firm solid impact like what many of us desire. Performance wise it had a little S-Yard in it but not enough. I got that lower ball flight no doubt and it was very stable and I also "felt" my spin was reduced. But It was closer to the XV than the 388 if you know what I mean. Good not great but this is just my take. I'm 100% clear that some would absolutely love this head, just not me. I also found it easier to hit the 388 consistently straighter but again going back to the shaft this Waccine GR77 gives me little love. nobmontana
That second pic is pure art! the reflection of palm trees in the dawn is beautifully captured! Very tastefully done! Best looking head with an adjustable hosel in my opinion. Can you tell us more about the gr77 shaft? I did not do well with the 88. Was too heavy for me. How is the feel of the 77? boardy? Smooth? akapur
The Ptune head is a very nice performing head but definitely not the best looking head in the world. I will reshaft mine with the Messenger shaft in the spring to see if I can get the smooth and easy feel I have with the TPRX D and Messenger shaft now. driverhead
I have had good luck with the Kusula Blue /PTUNE combo. I would bet the Lighter TPLX shafts would be great in this head also.
+TourSpecGolfer
Last few rounds I increased the weights in my xXx D013 8g & 6g went in. The sound went berserk it was wild but the driver was now uber heavy not to mention it was playing at 45.75". So after a few rounds with that monster I put the ptune waccine into rotation again and it felt light in comparison! It completely behaved and performed very well today.
