Posted January 4, 201411 yr Last summer Crazy had decided to stop producing the Target Tour shafts (which is too bad cause they were great) as the production costs for the shafts were rather costly. They decided to partner with KBS to start carrying their iron and wedge shafts for Crazy customers and iron builds but were shocked at the inconsistency in quality and specs when they received their first batch of shafts. So they decided at that poing that every shaft would be spined, flex and frequency tested, weighed so that each set would have consistent specs across all the irons meaning more consistent feel and performance. They would then stamp/sticker their Crazy Sports sticker (aligned with the spine) to certify the shafts. This is similar to what DG did with the Tour Issue though I am not sure if the Tour Issues are more than just hand picked for weight consistency. They are available by special order including KBS C-Taper, C-Taper 95 and Custom Color for KBS Tour shafts and Hi Rev.
January 4, 201411 yr Thats great. Btw tour issue is weight sorted and frequency matched across The irons.
January 4, 201411 yr Author Thats great. Btw tour issue is weight sorted and frequency matched across The irons. They don't say anything about frequency matched in the description or their product video. http://www.truetemper.com/products/dynamic-gold-tour-issue
January 5, 201411 yr mistaken. thanks for the clarification. i thought they were. i assumed since the pros get their frequency sloped figured TI of the rack was the same. my mistake
January 5, 201411 yr Glad that my 2 sets have Target Tour ... they r amazing! Hope the KBS is also as good as those
January 6, 201411 yr I too love the Crazy Target Tours. Tried the KBS C Taper in S flex and could not get rid of them quickly enough. When I was at the Crazy fitting they suggested I shaft my Crazy blades in the Crazy CTapers but in SR flex. Took some convincing. That Tario, he's a good salesman. I like them so much I am putting them in my next project which should be done soon. Also ordered another set for some Miurism SC01 heads I picked up. Dropping back that half flex or so makes a massive difference for me in these shafts
March 25, 20159 yr Been thinking about going back to KBS for my next build. Do you know if they started doing the S+ TOUR in the crazy KBS or is it still only S & X flex.

March 25, 20159 yr I think a forum post dead for over a year means it's prob dead issue Obviously not to the guy that kick started the thread........

Dropping back that half flex or so makes a massive difference for me in these shafts I had the C Taper in too stiff a flex the first time and hated them, wrote them off, and cursed them publicly every chance I got. Tried a flex down in another set of heads and adore them
March 26, 20159 yr Been telling the naysayers to go a half flex down from the release of C-Tapers but too many egos on that other site to lend any credibility to that advice...
March 26, 20159 yr Get your KBS from Crazy guys, they spec them out to the highest standards then dump the off spec ones. KBS in Japan has had a hard time with how anal they are about specs and tolerance.
