+TourSpecGolfer
The Callaway Legacy Black Forged, So they sold out a while ago, then Callaway decided to do another run at endo and priced them uber low far lower than irons sold in the states and now those are pretty much gone. Very cool sticks and there is absolutely no reason why Callaway can't launch these in the US besides the fact that there is no Legacy Black series there so it would look solo as far as line up goes. But who cares these freakin rock! This was Callaway's response to the VG3 a couple years back. Goes to show retail JDM does trickle down to the U.S PGA tour. vanla01
Idrive raves about these irons definitely says a lot! Seems like everyone is wanting a set, stenson definitely brought attention to them in a good way! :)
sjdavies47
Apologies if this is question is not allowed. These are endo forged where in the epon range would they compare to. Are these 5 series equivalents or more gi than that. Have always liked callaway stuff and these look fantastic.

I believe they are the same size as the Epon 302's with a slightly larger sole and top line.
stevopagolf
Based on Chris' comparison to VG3's, I would say between the 302 and 502, more skewed to the 302 end of the spectrum---which is where the VG3's fall Edited January 7, 2014 by stevopagolf
Craig
I had never seen these until playing with IDrive. They look the part and though I cant comment on how they feel etc as I only hit a few shots with them, they certainly performed well for IDrive. They really do sound nice at impact. gocchin
I actually reviewed these irons 19 months ago and I've posted on the forum a few times about them. http://www.golftoimpress.com/callaway-legacy-black-forged-iron-review/ They were amazing but only a few people jumped at getting them (I think nobody at all in the forum) over the course of the year most likely due to the high retail price. Since I put them on special back in November I think we've sold more than 40 sets but Callaway Japan is finally all out. We may be able to source more from friendly partners here in Japan but the cost will go up most likely.
Vegaman
I have these, and love them. They are a perfect blend of compactness, not much offset (at least looking down on them) and forgivness. And, yes they feel ultra soft. But the best part is that they are easily the most accurate irons I have played. Which was a bit unexpected, since i feel the Vega blades I also have are/were very accurate already. I checked out the VG3s, but feel they looked quite a bit bigger and more offset, and a bit to shiny/busy graphics-wise. The colour scheme on the Legacy Blacks is just extremely classy and stealthy looking
reapl
Was anyone able to compare these to the Apex Pros? Wonder how they compare size wise.
