MizunoBlades
O.K. I don't know much about this shaft but I just bought one. The seller said it was 117g and 4.5* of torque? Any info on this shaft would be a huge help! I think the Pro95-X in my sonartec may be history.
MizunoBlades
someone here has to know something. SW of the raw shaft? Kick Point? Anyone hit it? Weight? Torque?
haribo
What I know about the Sapphire is that it's a shaft Fujikura makes for Taylor Made's Tour Department exclusively (on request only, thou). It is basically identical to the Pro95 except it has a softer tip. Weight is like the Pro95 in the 95-96 gram area, as well is torque, 3.0*. Btw, the only Fuji i know that's 117 gram heavy is the HM-4. haribo
br61
I have a Sapphire pullout and use to have it in 200Tour 13*. It's a good shaft for fairway woods and I believe it's a low kick shaft, around 95-96 gr with torque of between 3.5-4.0. I know someone will know the specs for sure. turbodog
just confirming what has already been said... i had gotten the specs a while ago. it's 4.5* torque, soft tip, not as counterbalanced as the pro95 and moderately heavy in the 95 gram range. at least, the original maroon ones were. there are a bunch of sapphires hitting the streets now that seem to be black (?hard to tell from pics) and maybe those are over 100 grams. very active tip. it's almost like they stuck a SIX tip on a pro95. nice shaft for a fairway wood - in a driver, not so much imo. MizunoBlades
on another forum I see some people say its 93g but others say its 103-105? I hope its 100+ because if not I have no use for it.
FAQ
Here's the Saphire Specs that I have... Sapphire - 45 in. 117 grams 4.5 Torque high kick
MizunoBlades
FAQ I've seen that too but most think its 93g or 103g. I'll have to wait till the shaft comes then weigh it. That way we will know once and for all.
joey3108
This shaft has been around for ages by now! At least 6-7 years. I don't quite remember the torque and kick point but for sure it weigth at 105 grams raw. They use to have a lot of color option the first time this shaft on the market, but i remember that they have quite a lot of head ache w/ those color option thing. MizunoBlades
Yeah I know its old but not too many choices for 100g+ shafts. It will be worth a shot.
