Chanaa
Happy New Year folks. Looking for a new shaft as my oldies are wearing out. I currently play with Crazy LY01, Crazy CB-46 & Diamana X 2012 60s. I prefer a control shaft like CB46 vs the diamana which i find too lively. Based on what i read, have narrowed down to : TRPX X-line Crazy La Bomba CB80 CB50 Adilda Rogue 125 MSI Any suggestions / feedback ? My ss is 105-110mph
nobmontana
My SS is similar to yours. Have you tried heavier weight shafts in your drivers? Waccine GR 77 or GR 88 are splendid shafts for control. heavier weight, very stable and low spin. Even with the added weight, they still deliver good distance. I also use Diamana S73 and S83 in my other drivers. Just a well balanced shaft for the purpose. I do however end up tipping the Diamana 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch to help get rid of that slight lively feel off the tip. Also highly recommend is Fire Express Max WBQ 75. I unfortunately never got along well with any of the Crazy shafts except the Boron.
Ian-500
I'll let you know how a cb50 (still in customs!)goes against a 2015 whiteboard 60x hopefully this week.
robbie
Control shafts are different for different swing types......a superstiff tip and mid section might help someone who is very strong and hands while a overall neutral swinger might want something more balanced for control and a swinger who is slower in swing speed and relies on the shaft to kick the ball out there would prefer the LY01. Another factor to consider is flex, if you choose too stiff or too soft a flex, the shaft may be perfect but the results will be very different. A Crazy LY01 at 6.4 will feel very different than a LY01 at 7.7. With all that being said, I have found the VC Speeder 6.2 and 7.2 to be very stable and accurate shafts. They are on the inexpensive side and definitely not exotic but they do get the job done quite nicely. Another shaft to consider is the Quadra FireExpress. If u let me know the amount of lag you like to hold and what your misses are ( what you are trying to avoid ) and some data like angle of attack and backspin and launch angle, that would be helpful for fitting. Started moving to lighter shafts abt 5 yrs ago & notice the poorer dispersion. Just worried as i get older or tired, cant handle the heavier ones. I would say i am a hitter type swing, fast & aggressive. Very handsy, early release on irons. I play 7.2 on the crazys & as mentioned, i find the Diamana x 2012 60s harder to control. My misses are almost always pulled left. I dont have current access to a flight sim, but last tested on my crazy-46 + ryoma D1 9.5 was 2 yrs ago - launch angle 16-17deg, rmp 2500-3000. Normal drives on that set up is 230-40m carry. The other recent combo i dont like - my diamana x 60s + ryoma maxima 10.5. Too much spin & hardly any roll. I have the same concern as I am turning 48 this year. But since you are swinging 105 to 110 .. you shouldn't be too concerned. At least not yet :)
+TourSpecGolfer
Generally waccine's heavier shafts play very tight. Also the new Fire Express Prototype does as well although I have not hit it many faster aggressive clients are telling me this. Seven Dreamers would be my top choice as everyone seems to like them as they do what they say, control, distance or blend of both.

Will have a look at Waccine & Fire Express proto.
