+TourSpecGolfer
Endo will leave the golf business in the near future. So far 2 big brands and 1 medium that manufacture woods there are telling me this and these are not small brands. The amount of new molds being produced has drastically gone down at Endo, brands are using their old molds and creating variants to buy them time while they work with new factories on new designs and when this happens the orders stop coming into Endo. The largest brands have already moved factories in the last 3-5 years.
needmoregolf
what is the reason for their potential exit? profit margins are too low or top brass just getting tired and old?
Vegaman
Aren't they big in other kinds of steel work, for other industries? I thought the making of golf clubs were always a smaller part of their total business/output Edited September 29, 2015 by Vegaman
gtrader88
Will there still be Epon ? or Epon forged .... elsewhere?
robbie
Endo will probably be focusing on their stainless steel and medical implant/prosthetics business if they get out of golf......
Haovictor
Go buy them. Chris. Edited September 29, 2015 by Haovictor
jamhnxx
Chris you should buy the damn Epon business and have it online exclusively
lone Ranger
So who's , who... Who in and who's out?? Is Onoff about to jump ship!?? Is PRGR forged at Endo???
+TourSpecGolfer
Still a rumor, one I have been hearing for a couple years but only now are the issues showing up in the supply chain. If a brand has paid for molds and needs to produce more heads to break even on the mold fee but can't it's a problem.
Mob
oh shoot, my favorite irons are the Epon AF-302.
Vegaman
Chris you should buy the damn Epon business and have it online exclusively THAT would cause quite a stir..
vertigo88
THAT would cause quite a stir.. Maybe that's the reason for the inventory sale - to build capital and acquire Epon as TSG's house brand. In addition to SEVEN Edited September 30, 2015 by vertigo88

+TourSpecGolfer
Update : We were told they will quit making drivers and are no longer accepting orders but will still produce irons. yay! Endo made drivers have shorter total distance than other factories and cost a lot more to make.
nobmontana
so no AF105 ? that's a bummer!!
+TourSpecGolfer
so no AF105 ? that's a bummer!! Of course that one is available its all new orders that are being denied. I would assume Epon may still be able to produce drivers but it would bother me that everyone knows including Endo that their drivers don't produce as good performance as other companies drivers. daamartin
Hmmm. Zero was very long for me. So are most of the Yammy drivers I have had. Are they not Endo-made? Epon 101 plays great, but I agree not as long as above. But someone with less clubhead speed might see the opposite!
Spoon
i have some 105s coming and will compare with older epon models. hopefully their hybrid material is a move in the positive direction.
Daveraul
hmm.. Might be time to get my hands on an Epon Zero and a spare T.388..
