What type of profile do you like and how is your release? I think 130s or 125s would work very well in them (or SPB) if you have a mid to late release as well...

Have tried the modus 130 couldn't seem to feel the shaft anywhere in my swing find the modus too light feeling.

Have hit the 125 but the 120x feel ok just a bit light

Have had spb and they felt very average to me.

I had sus with Monaco X SS twice and hated them but my mate got the heads and we fitted shimada tour lites into them and they feel so automatic now and perform perfectly.

Tend to like a shaft you can lean on at impact.

I have shimada wedge 120s in my wedges and find them great feel and performance

This!

what matches best is completely different for different people so knowing what you need and why is vital.

Wanting something round 110 115 finished weight stiffer tip soft butt for feel what's your thoughts Chris?

It's been a long time since I've hit the Shimada range but the K's 115 sounds like an option. Modus 105's seem like a considertion except for the weight.

shimada 4001s im playing right now and rave about them 120 gram raw ;flight is mid feel is stiff but u hit into these they flat out perform, had them in my mirsiams now the 1008s , was ultra impressed by them get a 6 iron shaft to test.

otherwise monaccos are made for epon heads

Shimada pro green label Dean. I would give those a go. I used and think they feel superb.

But you know and love the mons so its a no brainer.

i am actually rebuilding my p2 with modus 105. i loved the ST very much so this will be a wonderful combo. maybe too light for you.

monaco stiff straight up are ok too but find that I've lost interest with them ever since nippon varied there modus offerings. your mileage might vary.

i suggest 125, shimada tour 120.

they are protos made for another brand. 70 bucks a shaft !

tried t hem and went wow... they were betting in higher launching CB than MB, found them a bit flat in MB.

wud never put them im the masdas. but my top CBS might just get these.

can not fault them at all

Ok shimada 115s are now in the p2s hitting 4 iron in the net these feel like what I want and love the feel of shimadas.

Shimadas have a totally different feel to Nippons and Modus shafts.

Shimada have a very stable tip to allow great feel of where the head is, where as nippons for me always want to shut and don't hold when you want them too.

Anyway rambling on as we all know shafts can work and feel so much different from person to person and different heads also.

Personally very happy I made the choice back to shimadas.

Will post more after first Comp round.

Also added a 3 iron 115s in my 901 19 and 22

Fantastic choice Deano, I know these will be perfect for the P2s....Listen to young beaver. Profiled, tested and highly recommended for P2s.

That bit offset in the Epon blade line-up is set up perfectly for these shafts, as Supo said they may not work in a zero offset blades but we all know P2s are a different kinda beast, it is limited what you can use in the minimal offset blade category....For most of us mere mortals anyway.

Pity the Kamakura hasn't turned up yet, that will be one sick bag of fighting irons

Lookforward to the call on Sunday fella, expecting a +2 round ;)
