FAQ
Anyone? Mine doesn't really have a ting sound. It's more of a little crunch sound. It's fairly muted and not loud and it's pretty solid sounding.

I found mine looking into a microscope at work. Check it out Chris or send back maybe.

naylit
If it tinks, try rubber o'rings on the weight screws.
primo
So I just stuffed 4 grams of cotton balls into my R7... And... the result was quite simply I just might have the sweetest driver I have ever owned. I've gotton over the shape which I guess is starting to grow on me. The feel is WAY WAY WAY more solid that before. Some of you may not think the R7 is that tingy, but I for one feel that just about all TM drivers are tingy with the exception of the tour heads. The sound is much more like a Titeist. In fact if you close your eyes you swear you were swinging a Tity E.   Just some advice for those of you that want to try, rip the cotton into really really really small pieces. It's a pain in the ass, but definitly worth it. Oh and make sure you take the 4 grams of weight out of the back somewhere. I guess it helps if you own the TP. Otherwise I guess you'll just have to live with a 4 gram heavier head.
haribo
So I just stuffed 4 grams of cotton balls into my R7.... Cotton????? That's sooooo boring. I've expected better from you. How about this: Put some dry, crushed ice into the head. Then pour in a dash of vermouth followed by some Grey Goose vodka. Try 6-8 parts vodka to 1 part vermouth for best results. After 18 holes you should end up with a wicked Martini. Shaken not stirred. haribo

hornyjuan
Has anyone hit the R7 with no weights installed? Yup...feels like s**t sounds even worse. Almost like the head is going to explode. I wouldn't recommend it and TM doesnt reccommend it as they say dust particles can get in and the clubhead.
