Mike
Great pic's Joe , to this untrained eye  The DF and the Shallow look identical to me with the exception of the scoring lines on the face . Is there something that I am missing :-D  :smile2:

Gawt I wish I have a lot of Shallow face in my hand now, I could make a killing selling it $1000 - $1300 a piece , and change my hobby to fishing after. :surprize:  joe

cameronreddy
3 of the heads are 1*-1 1/2* Open Face angle except the R7 shallow are dead on 0* face angle. Joe, do you find that most (or all) 510TPs are open?
bruinduke
Joe, thanks for the pics. Do you think the R7 shallow will make its way to prodcution? It should help the greater majority of golfers that have trouble with the R7TP launch. What's the loft on the R7 Shallow and is it available? joey3108
FAQ, To bad they can't bite me  Cameronreddy, Tour heads, YES! not retail. Duke, I can't tell you how TM think, but if you are asking me about my experiences w/ the R7 TP...Here are my observation w/ my swing style: 1. Hitting low on the face below the equator, the ball will never raise at all. Imagine and remember The R7 TP shallow is shallower. :-D 2. Fade shot has nothing special, it's about the same w/ almost all my driver. 3. Draw shot is the advantage on this driver. I found out w/ my setting 6&6 on the front toe and heel and 2 tens on the back, the ball goes longer than any of my driver. However, for me is a bit scary hitting a draw ball due to less control on how far left i'm gonna hit it. Just not use to it. 4. Feel is definitely better on the 510 tp tour due to rat glue inside. I've never seen on an R7 TP w/ rat glue inside, they are completely dry. This is why also the sound are louder + the 2 ,3 and 4 grams weight act like a tuning fork. The R7 TP shallow was foamed by me to create muter sound. BOY if you did right, It sounded and felt like a Tour Stage's driver. Just awsome feel ! Be aware that the foam will increase around 10 grams of weight, in the case of this shallow face...the owner like to have the driver at 44.5", at 174 + 10 + 26 grams screws should be around D2-D3 w/ 652 speeder S flex. Foaming is always a messy job, on this head is even worst...because i have to open all the screws and let the foam over flows and let it sit and fully expand R7 TP shallow should be available the same loft w/ the reg R7 TP. From my experiences, IMHGO The shallow R7 TP out there now is not a tour issue, because i've never seen a tour issue head w/ a 0* face angle. It must have been a production and they decided not to let it go to the public and put a T serial #. However, after all the hype and my post like this one...They might ! I'm affraid if they hype it to far out of line, It's gonna hurt TM in the long run. Hope I'm wrong, cause I like the company and their products. Regards, Joe Kwok
bruinduke
Thanks Joe as always for your honesty. Please let me know if your R7S that feels like a Tourstage driver goes the way of your Scratch wedge. Or maybe I'll find one and let you work your magic on it. Thanks again! MCsub
Hi Joe... Had my second session w/ it today. I used your 6/10/10/6 advice and choked up a bit. Great setup. I decided to try an 8 in the back on the toe side. Obviously a very slight difference but I felt more comfortable w/ it. Still heavy, but I like it. I got in a groove and was nutting ball after ball as straight as can be. To be honest, I am not sure why I would shorten it or stiffen it. The I65 is performing very well for me. I want to play a few rounds and we'll see... I think the full 45" shaft helps me hit more consistently on the upper half, where flights are really being cleared for takeoff
