Posted September 15, 200420 yr Any of you play them? They look pretty good to me. I am in search of new irons. Any input on models or shafts would be great. Thanks Zach
September 15, 200420 yr Oh yes! 201, 302 or 404's are good all the way around. I'm tempted to get some srixon gear myself. The 404s are shorter heel to toe than the 302's and they have a new rounded sole that they say is optimal for most turf conditions. I hit them the feel reminds me a little of a tourstage iron and I'm considering a set.
September 15, 200420 yr I tried the Srixon 302s with NSpro 950 shaft and I really like those. They feel so soft. Maybe I need a bit heavier shaft but overall it's a great set of irons.

If not, what iron do they most resemble with regard to size, top line, offset, playability, etc.?
September 16, 200420 yr Chris,If you play the Srixon irons, can I have your Mizzy set????? Have..NO Buy...Yes PM me with an offer for the mizzy's and if its reasonable  :wah:

September 16, 200420 yr Absolutely wonderful set. Couldn't more highly recommend a set of irons. They are actually very reasonably priced in the US. Aug Golf Classic shows the irons used by JPGA pros..Only one of the J Dunlop staffers doesn't use I-302's.
September 16, 200420 yr Are the 404's more of a players club or are they more forgiving than the 302s?

September 17, 200420 yr Can anyone compare the i302's to any domestic irons (playability, forgiveness, size)? Are they more similar to the TM RAC Forged CB/MP30/690cb or 704/RAC LTs? How do the short irons look as I've heard that Japanese short irons are typically bigger compared to the US? thanks.

September 20, 200420 yr I guess it started as an inside joke with my friends up north. After watching the movie Bad Boys, Martin Lawrence makes fun of Will Smith's character by saying "I'm Mike Laaaawwwwry". So the Laaawwwrry part turned into Larry and the rest is history. Well that's where I get the term Larry from...it might be coincedental.

Well that's where I get the term Larry from...it might be coincedental. I think it's coincidental. When a few of us started to use the term "Larry" it was not a term of endearment, it was the equivalent of calling someone a dork. But after awhile in our group, to be called a "Larry" is somewhat a sign of respect, though in a joking way. We just do not call anyone a Larry, though we might, and the context makes it quite obvious if we are calling you a true dork or a likeable one. We use the term so much that its funny if we ever get hooked up with another twosome at a course and one of them is really named Larry. * Disclaimer: These posts are in no way meant to offend anyone really named Larry. If you have issues, take it up with your parents.
September 21, 200420 yr Might be similiar...but we have the same definitions of Larry though. Don't be a freagin Larry!!!!
September 21, 200420 yr LOL! Everything in our bag has a price tag on it ha? :smile1: Joe  If that's true, how much for the Vokey prototype?
