  1. The model would of normally come out by now. Any word or did they discontinue since releasing the T series irons.
  2. For me, JDM equipment means equipment sold exclusively for the Japan market. For example, the VG3 line and Vokey forged by Titleist, as far as I know, is sold only in Japan (perhaps Korea as well). Have no idea why the economic model would be selling these only in limited markets and not globally.
  3. I was interested to see Chris' comments on club fitting in another forum thread. I was about to pull the trigger on going to Club Champion Golf to get fitted. They do have a selection of Japanese equipment including all the Epon, Fourteen and Homna lines. I do understand fitting is based off Trrackman, smash factor etc. and I have known people to spend a ton of money getting the "right shaft" only to go back to their old equipment after several months. With that being said, for those that have been club fitted, what has your experience been?
  4. Noticing a difference in iron loft between the US version and Japanese version. If you look on the US website, 4 iron loft is 20 degrees. If you look on the Japanese website, 4 iron loft is 19 degrees. Other than that, it seems to be the same iron. Am I missing something? Would there be any other differences like where the irons are produced? If its the same factory, would there be 2 different productions for each market? I just find this perplexing.
  5. Anyone play this driver? Thoughts about this brand? Driver looks awesome.
  6. I have played every VG3 irons since I think 2012. I have found different years irons alternate between the "soft" forged feel when striking the ball to the clicky feel. I thought the 2014 alliteration was the most clicky feel while the 2016 and 2018 versions have more of a softer feel. These are the best irons I have ever played. Looking forward to see what they do for the 2020 version.
  7. I just noticed these irons in the pro shop dating back to 2017. I guess these are not as new as I thought.
  8. I noticed on the Mizuno Japan Website the "Pro Series" set of irons in different varieties. Anyone can tell me about these irons? I am assuming these are a Japan only product.
  9. J. Beam offers its own shafts on its website. Can anyone tell me which shafts are designed for which clubs? (ie Shafts for Drivers, Shafts for Fairway woods, etc) or are the shaft offerings for any type of clubs it offers?
  10. If I remember correctly, years ago, Porsche had its own line of clubs as well.
  11. Anyone play these new irons from Honma? Very strong lofts. I play Titleist VG3 irons and would be interested in any comparison with head size, top line thickness, etc. I know these Honma irons are the cast but starting to look for something that may be easier to hit. Thanks.
  12. As another aside, I am interested to find a Hybrid in a 15 degree or stronger loft. Do they exist?
  13. quick question......are the head size of these irons similar to the XXIO Forged which are oversized or more similar to the Titleist VG3 irons which I consider average size?
  14. Anyone play this? I am intrigued by the 3 hybrid/fairway club at 15 degrees. Size of head appears to be between a hybrid and fairway wood. I am looking for a 15 degree hybrid and don't seem that they are made?
  15. Sorry about that. Talking about the new 2017 model. I see they added back the crown to them compared to the 2015 and previous models. Cant figure out why.
  16. The VG3 irons look similar to the last model. I know its early but are there any Japanese Magazines or Blogs out now that discuss the differences between the old and new models?
  17. Titleist JP website has been updated with all the VG3 offerings for 2018!
  18. A purley wild and crazy guess....If you look at the background on the website for the add, "What is Cheetah Technology," it shows round circles that appear to be hollow. Perhaps something to do with increased clubhead speed incorperated into the driverhead somehow.....
  19. Me too. I have had both the 2014 and 2016 iron models. Completely different feel. Wonder what they will do with the 2018 model!
  20. Wow....I am curious and excited as well. Usually, the VG3 clubs are announced right before the Japan Golf Fair in February. I think its early for them to do it in November.
  21. Completely agree..... you need to like the head and shape of the driver first. For me, I don't like a driver that has a high back end. I am more of a sloping down back end (ie Ping, VG3). I will always choose that first, then I try to find a shaft to match. If someone says this is the "best driver ever", if it does not meet my aesthetic requirements, I wont even consider it.
  22. With recent posts regarding the above, I am wondering if some shafts perform better with certain drivers or is it just a combination based upon your physical skills.
  23. Driver plus right fitting shaft equal performance and distance. As much as I like certain drivers, I am always seeking the perfect shaft to match. I think its an endless search but I keep looking!!!!
