TS Airmuscle question
The air muscle isn't so much a hybrid as it is driving iron. I equate it more to a Big Bertha. So what you felt with some of the other hybrids they are more like mini woods. The AM is a hollow iron. I would say I thought it felt more ironlike, but not quite. I only had my AM for about a week :money:

question about r7 tp swingweight
It will definitely play softer, depending on your swing you could get higher launch angle, more spin. you could also deloft the club. Depending on how heavy your shaft is, it's really easy to get into the E-5 range...

Primo's final rant of the year...
OK! Now we're talkin! Don't everyone get their panties up in a bunch. To be perfectly frank, my goal of this post was to create some controversy see if anyone is out there paying attention, and to get a better understanding of the dynamics of the members of this site. I do feel that the site is getting extremely slow, and I have heard from others that I personally referred to TSG, that they didn't feel comfortable. That it was a "rich man's club." To a large extent it is. Now if you look closely at my original post I never wanted to imply that Chris uses the same practices our friend Todd uses, in fact I think I stated that his reviews seem to be pretty fair and somewhat unbiased. To be perfectly honest I have no real way of knowing for sure if they are fair. I know that Chris and I have different tastes in clubs so it's pretty tough for me to gauge just how to take his reviews. Look I understand it's a business. And I'm sick of hearing that Chris spends money for this forum for us to enjoy. The bottom line is that Chris is running a business and this forum and the upcoming magazine is all part of it. I don't want to hear that crap about how we should appreciate these forums because others have put the time and money into building out the site. Believe me Chris wouldn't be putting so much time and money into something unless he thought there was opportunity there. Don't get me wrong, Chris is an EXCELLENT businessman, I have purchased clubs from him before and found his prices to be more than reasonable and the clubs have always exceeded expectations as far as condition goes. Also Chris has done a great job with this site and I can see it's much more comprehensive than any other site I have seen. I know you've got a ton of plans for the site, I remember talking to you about the answerfreak stuff which would be really really cool. I'm looking forward to what the future will bring, but as many of you know the internet is extremely fickle. Once things die out, people don't really come back. I could be wrong, let's hope I am. I hope the site gets better, there are a lot of registered members, but I am concerned that there doesn't seem to be a lot of posts.

Primo's final rant of the year...
Well, I am going to declare this site dead. I don't exactly know why, but this site just doesn't get any posts! I went away for a week, I come back and there are a grand total of about 30 new posts. So I have to wonder why? Is it because it's summer and everyone is out playing? I hardly think that's the case as other forums seem to be more than healthy. So that leaves me with the content on this site. The more I look at this site the more I see that this site is really just geared for a very group of golfers. Those with a s**tload of money. Let's be real, this site isn't very friendly for junior golfers, which probably make up a good percentage of a healthy forum. On top of that my theory on these "so called unbiased golf forums will all dissapear soon. Chris has a great catalog site and the forum will become an afterthought. Very much like the forum on TGW. I guess my complaint is that if you are going to be a golf forum where people talk about golf and golf equipment, then that's the kind of site it should be. If it's a store, then say that up front. I'm sick of the owners of the sites writing a review of some club, saying it's the greatest thing since titanium woods, only to find that there are 5 for sale in the BST forum. Now Chris has done a fairly good job of writing reviews which seem fair, at the same time I understand that Chris is running a business and needs to make money. Sound familiar? I swear it was about a year ago this exact same conversation came up on BSG which forced a lot of us over here. Now I see the same s**t different crapper... Just thought it this would be an interesting topic of conversation. I highly recommend everyone participate, even if it's just to say, Yeah Primo I'm with ya! Or you're way out in left field on this one.

Mizuno Japan Satin MP-37s M Stamped
Sweet set of sticks! Can you take some pictures at address? You mentioned you ordered a set with no offset, looks to me on the pw there seems to be the standard MP-37 offset. Just curious to see if they were actually able to make a set with absolutely no offset or if it's a custom finish/stamping. Please take it next to the MR-23, which has virtually no offset.

The key to the golf swing is....
The very basics: GRIP AIM STANCE POSTURE I have the same problems everyone else has, however all problems come from these 4 basic fundamentals of the golf swing. I have a tendency for my hips to get a little overactive. I fire my hips though too early and I get that nasty low pull slice, or just straight pull. I just recently discovered this problem was rooted with my stance. I had great posture but my stance was a little off, I found out my stance was a little off, because over the last few months working with the momentus I realized that my grip had become a lot stronger with me realizing it. My off grip meant my body had to make compenstation with my stance, which basically leads to bad swings. The point is if you go back to the very basic essentials I think you will often "find your swing" I actually just wrote a few notes down to help me remember what is that I forget and I'm going to put this thing on the back of my scorecard when I play...

Honma Driver Help
I would go with the 420 RF. It's really really long, a little hard to control for higher swing speeds, but probably ok for your dad. I got my dad the Big LB about 5 years ago and he loves it. One thing everyone should remember, Honma's target market is typically older asian... So it's designed for people with slow swing speeds. The stars from what I understand relate to the quality of the shaft. The higher the quality of shaft, the more Shock absorbtion. Again this is a feature for the older executive golfer where this is an issue. I got my dad a set of 5 star big LB CB irons which again he LOVES. He was playing PRGR blades before. His handi just dropped another 5 strokes and he's kickin my ass again. Oh well... But I have hit his irons and I must say that you can really feel them kick and when you hit it fat it doesn't send any kind of shock up your arm. Which for an older player makes a big difference. (This also applies to the CRIPPLE... THIS MEANS YOU ARI) Anyway to sum up, for the younger player this probably does not apply to you. Hope this helps I also just wanted to add that Honma are far and away the best damn feeling clubs I have ever hit. There is nothing that comes close. I would love to own a set of twin marks Honma CB's. My friend has a set with Nippon shafts and they are exquisite. The drivers and woods feel about as close to persimmon as you will ever get. There really is no comparison with an American offering. I can tell you that I have seen significant differences with respect to game improvement with both of my parents. I got them both full Honma sets  I think the shafts are really great for slower swing speeds. Think of the amount of R&D Fujikura put into the tour, well that's how much Honma has put into it's shafts for swingspeeds 70-90 mph

Very intersting stuff Joe! I just installed 4 rubber O rings into my driver. I'm going to test it out today I'll let you guys know if it is an improvement over the cotton.

Anyone put cotton in their R7 to get rid of the ting?
So I just stuffed 4 grams of cotton balls into my R7... And... the result was quite simply I just might have the sweetest driver I have ever owned. I've gotton over the shape which I guess is starting to grow on me. The feel is WAY WAY WAY more solid that before. Some of you may not think the R7 is that tingy, but I for one feel that just about all TM drivers are tingy with the exception of the tour heads. The sound is much more like a Titeist. In fact if you close your eyes you swear you were swinging a Tity E.   Just some advice for those of you that want to try, rip the cotton into really really really small pieces. It's a pain in the ass, but definitly worth it. Oh and make sure you take the 4 grams of weight out of the back somewhere. I guess it helps if you own the TP. Otherwise I guess you'll just have to live with a 4 gram heavier head.

player CB vs "GI" player CB
Allow me to clarify one point. Equipment is not a reflection on the player's skill. When I define a set of irons as player's irons, it simply means that these irons are basically blades, but have the additional forgiveness of CB's. GI refers to any technology used to make the club more forgiving. Yes you could argue that CB automatically means GI, but like we've been discussing, there are tons of variations and options when it comes to GI. One thing for sure, the more forgiving the less feel (Feedback). On a personal note, I am no where near scratch golfer. I wouldn't classify myself as a "player" as I am by far the worst golfer out of the group I play with. There are guys in my group that play x-14s, vfoil, there's even a guy with the entire adams set (+1 handi). Now everyone says that golf isn't about how rather how many. Well it's not quite that way for me. golf is as much about how as it is how many... on second thought I'll start a new thread...

Want to buy some custom blades....Need some suggestions...
could not have said it better. Really depends on how custom you want to get. Scratch is really the only TRUELY custom option as far as shape, grind, headweight etc. Other than that you can order a custom set from just about any OEM when it comes to lie angles, shaft, and swingweight. A friend of mine has a custom set of Vfoil blades he ordered from Mac. Took about 4 months. Chris can get you custom stamping and finishes on japanese irons, I'm sure that includes things like shaft, grip, swingweight, and lie angle. Scratch forgings are from Ishihara which makes MOZ. This is one of the best forgings in Japan, as MOZ retails for over 250 a club.

player CB vs "GI" player CB
The proto CB is the one on the left right? Er correct? It looks to me that the topline is a little thicker than the blade, however that could just be the angle. Don't get me wrong Chris, I don't think the MP27's or GS should be anywhere near the same category as say the Cally BB irons or say Adams. However I have always felt there should be a couple different categories for irons. I felt that way every since I bought a set of tzoid irons that I thought were going to be like mp-14's but CB's. Don't ask me how I came up with that conclusion, remember this was basically before the internet. Anyway it arrived at my door and I was OVERLY UNDERWHELMED. I hated them, and so began my search for the right set of irons. Chris, you said that the mp30 and the 27 are player, but not as much as the mr-23. Why is that? What is it about the mr-23 that makes it more player? I am with you that the PRGR blades are yet another category. My dad used to play those, they are oversized blades and the long irons are really more like hybrids. I'm not going to touch the shaft flex thing, that's another thread altogether. I guess I just wanted to raise the awareness for these clubs that are out.
