  1. I swing 100 to 105, very smooth tempo. I have the SR flex. Very smooth and stable. I have bought many a JDM driver over the years, the T-388 hands down is the best performer. I have tweaked this club to make it even better. I tend to prefer heavier headed drivers as I am a feel player. I added 6 grams of weight to the club head with 3 tungsten weight pads that I got from Golfworks. 2 in the back of the club head just a fraction towards the heel , and one pad on the heel itself. You would think this would create serious draw bias , as I have some similar adjustments with weights in the R11/R11s. However the club still plays very neutral, but the added mass just makes a pure hit even better and adds a bit more forgiveness. I finally had a chance to play in near 80 degree temperatures, the last 3 days and hit at least 6 career drives on holes that were spring lush and moist, exceeding summer distances that I had in 90 degree temps on hard fws. The quality of a good strike is so off the charts I feel my smash factor is the best Ive ever had with a driver THE WAY THIS CLUB HIT THE BALL AND KNIFES THRU THE WIND IS AMAZING. I have hit the ADAMS LAUNCH LAB AS FAR, but not the consistant distance or control I have with the T 388. AFter 4 weeks of tweaking and testing , basically the best way to play this club is set up as neutral as possible and play for a straight ball. This is the straightest hitting club of any type Ive ever hit. (I have to give props to the stock GRAPHITE DESIGN shaft. It is as perfect a shaft head match for me that I can remember. No energy loss at all. Straight mid trajectory bullets that leave nothing to spare.) I have had a lot of great driver setups over the years (hence my posting name), but no matter how good the setups there were always some small flaws microscopic as they were (that I didnt even think about, simply because I never hit with such perfect contact as I have with the T 388).
  2. The Gamma Premia is quite good. Its forgiving and built for carry. Plays similar to the CRAZY 460.
  3. The use of GPS technology has been an eye opener and ego crusher for most.
  4. The T388 has filled a void I have been looking at for a long time. My most reilable JDM setups have been drivers that carry far with a high gentle draw. (The Glorie 2012, and the Works Hyperblade Premia). Downwind or calm days these clubs are fantastic, but limited into the wind. My observation is the T388 rewards a good shot as good as any driver I have ever seen including my benchmark for distance the ADAMS L LAB. . The rollout and headwind shots are like nothing I have ever owned. Even on damp fws the ball seems to hydroplane on wet turf. I hit a thin low groove shot that only carried about 215 yards(awful) , but to my surprise the ball kept sliding out and I ended up between 250 and 260 yards. Not bad for a thin miss. Today was the 1st round of near 80 degree temps after a long season of winter hell,. We had the worst March Ive ever seen in the DC area this year. The course I normally play during the week overwaters the fws to a point of playing in near casual water in early morning rounds I normally play. No so today. Normal to slightly fast fws, and near 80 degree temps. The T388 thrives in fast conditions on a fast track today. I have played this course for 10 years, today is the 1st time I have hit every par 5 in 2 during the same round. They also built and lengthened a short par 4 with a new tee box 25 yards back. Its 335 yards to the front edge. I has a chip for the 2nd shot from just in front of the green. The drive was great to watch...AI Tiger style stinger shot that hit the right spot on the fw and kept rolling to just short of the green. For those that might sway away from this club due to its sub 400cc size, dont. Its very forgiving and plays like most 440 cc clubs. I have yet to hit any shot close to being wild such as a quick hook, or a block right. Another club I recommend that has serious firepower and rollout to compete with the T388 is the GEORGE SPIRITS GT450 driver. I am experimenting with shaft setups , but I dont have the total control of the GEORGE SPIRITS to match the T388 yet, Im looking at this as a bomber driver.
  5. I only have one ON OFF product the ONOFF Labospec W358 Limited Shingo Katayama Wedge but its the most valuable club in my bag. Its incredible the shots that can be pulled off with this from sand or any lie.
  6. Crazy RD S = high launcher in the 2012 GLORIE, mid launch reserve CRAZY PROTO - Money shaft in the 2012 GLORIE.perfect mid high trajectory ... mid low launch in rerserve Bassara wyburn 53 s - Didnt feel right in the RESERVE- performance okay trajectory okay... but. PROJECT X BLUE 6.0 - - need to regrip - will test again. All of the above shafts - club length 45.75 inches. Stock tipped - .75 inches - so far so good The weird thing is the horrible TITLEIST SO LO BALL GOES MILES OFF THIS HEAD. .
  7. Nope. ive tried several different shafts, that I hit much higher with even 9.5 lofts. The stock at almost 47 inches was just too loose and lagged too much. Tipped At an even 46 with the head weight increased Im getting a mid flight trajectory. I finally have it working , but at this point I prefer last years GLORIE. The weather around DC has been awful FEB and March. I played today 34 degrees 10 to 35 mph gusts. Actually hit some good shots that held up in this wind.
  8. I found the opposite to be true. Its one of the lower launching 10.5 heads Ive hit. It must be teed real high due to the super deep face to get a good trajectory. The feel is not the best. I actually hit the longest drives with it using a ball I hate.. :a TITLEIST SO LO. For some reason that crappy ball jumps like mad off the plastic face, and its dead with every other driver Ive hit. The head was too light off the rack, and I leaded it up. So far the best shaft has been the stock after I tipped it .75 inches.
  9. i should have a better handle next week when we get spring like weather around here.
  10. Yep. I did the same thing with the Glorie last year also. This years model the weight is more up front. and lower spin.
  11. i have had one for a few weeks. It has a unique feel at impact, soft like persimmon meets the RYOMA D1 Premia. I ordered the 10.5 loft and it setup very closed in the neutral setting. I changed the setting to the most open setting to offset the closed face and its almost square now. Temps have been very cold in the mid atlantic around DC and most rounds Ive played in have been in the mid 30s to low 40 temps with winter swamp grass. Its a very forgiving face soft and spring like, and the ball flight wants to go straight or a slight fade and Im a right to left player with most neutral; drivers. The ball flight is lower and more neutral than last years Glorie. The stock shaft was too loose and I put a Crazy RD S that I used in last years Glorie. The 2012 Glorie is a go to driver for me. I can hit a high controlled draw at will with good distance and great control. I am still tweaking the GLORIE RESERVE. It has potential as a bomber as I have hit a few very long shots with it. Its just as forgiving as the D1 Premia. There will be temps in the 60s next week, and when I get a better sense of how it performs in decent temps I will report back.
  12. The EGG Utilities are hard to beat. The sole design is idiot proof without sacrificing performance.
  13. I had the Ultimizer V3. It was a good enough performer but felt hard off the face. Its geared and thrives on a hitters swing. I prefer the Hyperblade line. the Hyperblade Premia is one of the best JDM drivers I ever hit. Very spring like and explosive face. Plays similar to the CRAZY 46O geared towards a high ballflight and max carry. Very neutral and workable.
  14. i will mention 3 drivers that don't get a lot of attention on this site. The Taylormade Glorie and the Works Golf Hyperblade GAMMA PREMIA, and The Romaro Ray 460HX Black. In my opinion the Glorie and HBGP are very autopilot user friendly. The Glorie is almost Automatic to hit a high controlled draw with great carry. The HyperBlade Gamma Premia is very neutral with a mid high flat ballflight. A great soft explosive almost EPON TECHNITY MEETS CRAZY 460 FEEL AT IMPACT. It has the DAT 55G face material. Yes , I did reshaft both (who doesnt here?). I put A Crazy PROTO 513 in the Glorie, and the Miyazaki Kusula Blue in the HBGP. The Romaro Ray 460HX Black Driver Head had the hottest ball flight and most distance upside shafted with the Crazy RD but a shade more demanding to hit and not as forgiving as the other 2. . Neutral to slightly fade bias, with a a ball flight similar to the CRAZY 435.
  15. I should have one coming shortly. If it can beat my previous benchmarks ADAMS tour issue 16 degree 50 50 or an RBZ tour . 14.5 I will be happy.
  16. I will mention one that I stumbled into by accident. It is the Works Golf Hyperblade Premia. Imagine feel as good as the EPON 460 ZR , the spring like explosion of the Crazy 460, the sheer firepower of a JBEAM 435 or 440, and the consistency of a Ryoma. Yep its been that good for me.
  17. Anyone hit the Muira 460 SIT driver yet? It's classic shape matte finish deep face, , and initial reviews grabbed my attention.
  18. PRGR Egg Utility. .... Amazing sticks.... If you like straight high and far.
  19. I have been saying for months on WRX that the EGG Hybrid is even better than the fws.
  20. Good to know. I tried the 7 early in the spring. I hit it straight , and got good rollout in fast conditions, but in the lush conditions now, the height and carry distance isn't cutting it.
  21. Tiger is using a true loft 11.25 driver on an 8.5 marked head.
  22. I have hit all of the Taylormade Tour issue drivers. The R11S V2 didn't impress me at all. At 440 cc its smaller than the retail version. It has a very hard feel at impact. The tour issue version of the RBZ driver (NOT THE RBZ tour) is very impressive. The head is very explosive and solid (right up with the best JDM drivers). I have a Glorie with a CRAZY 553 proto , and shafted the RBZ tour issue with a CRAZY TJ-46. (Both great COMBOs).
  23. The 10 degree Romaro trajectory wise plays similar to the 9.5 Premia, carry distance is similiar but the ROMARO has better roll out and is better into the wind. Down wind on soft fairways, it is a dead heat, dry conditions the Romaro is longer.
