nice! i like the white chrome as well. i am also a fan of the heavier heads, i in fact have some lead tape on my make shift anser. cant get over how that white chrome heavy head looks so purdy!
-
this thread is timely ive been looking at these for months and asking around and no one has heard of them. good link
-
trade for your 18*?
-
honestly the best bags pound for pound are the ping bags. they have neat dividers for every club and more for your wedges and woods and drivers. for obvious reasons i dont use one though
-
those look crazy! i want one of those anser putters with the tungsten sole inserts.
-
el cheapo nikes, bridges etc etc. anything they sell cheap in the range. budget balls LOL
-
when will the hybrids be available?
-
i need a sub 20* hybrid from gs
-
thats good to know. im yet to join the bandwagon, hopefully soon.
-
very nice G! by the way what would be the difference from a hand picked head frm any other head used for Gold's putters? i would assume he handpicks all his heads from his supplier as is expected from the quality and pricepoints of gold's putters

Shafts for Hybrids- GD UT series still the king?
Spoon replied to sunshine8's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
loving the gd ut-65. downgraded from a ut-85 and its the best decision ive made. nothing quite like the gds -
Lol they sell them by the kilo:)

6' i play a 45" driver at d2. its a personal thing.
-
as far as i know epon is the only one ive seen using these ferrules. also epon ferrules are only for epon clubs and cannot be purchased alone
-
i agree, i had the same shaft in my driver with great results. it was different with the woods.
-
i had the w60 in this same af201 and it felt dead as a pole, evryone of my friends that hit it felt the same way. after swapping it with the 55 qt its like the club turned alive. from zero to hero
-
another vote for the quattrotech. i have the 55 in both my 3wood and 5 wood. they simply rock. i tried the 65 and 75 briefly but found them to play stiffer than flex so moving down to the 55 has fit the bill nicely.
-
so has anyone tried these yet? im really itching to hear your reviews guys!
-
really curious about the geotechs, will be a cheaper alternative than others. then again i am not qualified to try blades but am willing to try if its the geotechs. has anyone tried these yet here?

Honma new 7 series... a step away from tradition...
Spoon replied to gocchin's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
it was very very nice, shaft has a nice flex to it, there is something about the armrqs i just love. from their wedges to their driver shafts they have something really special going for them. it was so easy to hit, and very forgiving. i attribute this to the shallower than normal face and their supposed ribbed technology, although like i mentioned the feel is nothing what ive become used to. when you have tried the best eevrything else doesnt cut it:) i would certainly be sporting one of these though just for the forgiveness factor. -

what a coincidence you posted this now, i was actually trying their demo drivers last week. like the bazooka ribs, very very easy to hit and love the shallow face. the armrq shaft is such a treat to hit. just had some reservations on the sole design and feel at impact. great driver nonetheless -
very evry nice, i like the anser with the aluminum milled face. who makes these for fourteen?

wow my bag has evolved so many times but here is the best from what i had last year. driver: af101 damn longest and best feeling driver i have ever used, although i had the r7cgb as backup since it came in 2* closed face. woods: still the af201s with quattrotech, have the 15 and 18* and have yet to find a club to replace it. nice combo with the qt and superb feel. had a brief stint with the quattrotech md but was losing carry distance which hurt my overall distance. QT green rocks! hybrids: the old school gfields 20 and 22 are still in the bag. these are the oldest gals in the bag, they have treated me good and i have no reason to replace them. damn go to clubs in every tricky situation. they have yet to fail me so they will be here for a very very long time am also using an epon 25* af901 but still prefer the look and feel of a traditional hybrid head. g field rules! wedges many many wedges from chikaras, beres, epon 207/208 etc etc. the only ones that lasted are the epon 208. works for my swing and like the versatility of the multi bounce. really helps me get creative. no need to change just like the gfields. irons: many many as well. i probably changed irons half a dozen times let me enumerate: mizuno mx23, katana 801g, ping g5, ping rapture jspec, beres mg801 ,epon typex, epon af701 graphites then epon af701 px. in the end i was happy with the epons af701 w px and have stayed with them since gettng them last december. no need to change til the next epons come:) what i like about them is the feel, accuracy and forgiveness. epon has made a magic want here for less consistent ball strikers like me. although the feel of the type x was more soft overall. couldnt be happier with my irons. putter: also changed many times more so than my irons but in the end i am missing the gfields i sold. i still have my eldik and leap but sold my gfield protos and premium zones. had a brief sting with custom byrons, tpmills and c & l but the thrill dint last very long and they have all been sold and adopted. im in limbo searching for the perfect putter still crossing lines between neo mallet and traditional anser2 designs. right now i am using an obscure anser 2 clone from a japanese designer fitted with ust frequency filtered shaft. so far so good but then again its only bee 1 week:) more to come

i agree, they made the best putters imho, there is a revival of sorts with the inception of George spirits. they have a putter line, hopefully these will be similar to the gauge designs of old
-
nice putter. price points please?
