Ryoma Driver Observation
I will let you know--do you have "The Hammer---KaPOWWW" you can trade?! The Toe thing is for real, played Monday, drivable par 4-- 289 down hill a bit probably plays 270 max. I hit my drive and the guy paired with me says that's hit pretty well. I said "Naahhh hit it on the toe". I am searching short of the green driving my self nuts--ball is beyond the green in the rough--top of a hill.

Ryoma Driver Observation
What drills did you do to groove that move? There is a stat called driving efficiency now on the PGA tour, basically it measures how close are you to maximizing your distance given your swing speed. David Toms is top 3 and James Driscoll is at the bottom. I am more James Driscoll. I hit down on everything, seems to be worse this year for me. According to Trackman etc (AndrewRicegolf.com) at 90mph and efficient swing with an upwards strike a person can get the ball out there 255 or so. Me I struggle to get to 250 consistently at 96-98MPH, toe hits might be better! So if you have a drill or something that has given you the upswing toe I am all ears!

Ryoma Driver Observation
It is a lot of pizzas! It has been the best for me. I think Epon and Kamui are two other good options. I bought mine used so it was about the "US Tour Driver" cost. Still expensive. I like you can get it head only though the stock shaft was pretty good. The Ryoma launches lower, carries well and rolls. I never got roll before. Remember you get true lofts so adjust accordingly. I have a 10.5*. For me I am more consistently in the fairway. No club is a miracle worker. Get the right shaft fit for you. If the Ryoma is too expensive, look for a used EPON cant go wrong with that either.

Ryoma Driver Observation
Now i find this driver to be pretty long across the face (heel is the distance robber), but I have noticed one thing. Balls hit above the equator of the face and toward the toe seem to go farthest. Now some of this is physics related (toe of club travels faster than heel), but was wondering if there is a toe bias to distance with the Ryoma. Many times I have shrugged "Ahrg I toed it." Only to find the ball travelled as if I hit it on the screws. Anyone else experience this?

Ryoma Fairway's? Anyone get them yet care to share reviews?
Anyone get their Ryoma Fairway woods yet? How are they? Super forgiving and long? How about a comparison to the Egg Spoon. Will find it hard to believe they could be better. Though the Ryoma Driver I have is the best I have hit. Most consistent for sure. Thanks!

Egg Spoon 17*
Steve- My swing speed is in that range and I went with the M43 and it works well
-
Just picked up the new EGG I+ 19*
Spoon- I had the TRC in 20*. The Egg Utility is far far more forgiving, better from the fairway. I might give the TRC slight slight advantage out of deep rough due to its heavier head. Egg Utility I find myself using much more than I did the TRC and the Egg wants to fly straight no hook issues.

Just picked up the new EGG I+ 19*
I have one as well. I have tried every utility to find one I did not hook. This did the trick. Awesome is the word to describe the Egg Ute!

Kyoei Zestaim Fi-3
I played the Fi-2 at one time. They felt amazing and were quite forgiving. The Fi-3 looks good.

Calling all Egg Spoon Users (new version)
Maybe its my blazing 97 MPH swing speed but the newer version Egg Spoon with the scooped out back makes a noticeable swooshing sound when swung. the impact sound is improved over the prior version but I noticed this swooshing sound. Anybody else notice this?

Recommendations for 4 wood, shallow face
Pretty shallow. The Plus is for the better player....so I would assume shallower. looks pretty shallow http://www.tourspecgolf.com/ONOFF-2010-Plus-Fairway-Arms

Recommendations for 4 wood, shallow face
Spoon- I have had the On OFF Fairway Arms Plus model in the bag for 2 years....an eternity for me. Their 5 wood is 17* and 42 inches in length. 1 degree open. I think as long as any fairway I have hit. Feel is good. Super easy to hit IMO. Bargain now at sub $400....

Royal Collection TRC review and question
I don't want to mess with it--so intact it shall stay! It does have a great feeling Iomic grip. When I look through the hole in the cap it does look like there is some sort of weight there. I could be wrong. Anyway great club does what I want. 200-215 draw or fade high or low runner. Best hybrid I have hit and I have been through the gamut. Adams (probably 5 diff models including A12), TM, Tourstage, Mizuno, Fourteen. This has been the best.

Royal Collection TRC review and question
Thanks Spoon. I have NS Pro 1050 GH in my VG3's so I went with the NSPRO 100 Hybrid shaft in the RC. I really like it. It is a heavy head but feels great. It does look like there is a counter weight plug in the butt end of the club. Maybe I should put these in all my clubs! I haven't hit a poor shot with this hybrid since I tore the plastic off the head. (10-12 shots at least)

Royal Collection TRC review and question
Got the 20* TRC with the Nippon Steel shaft. Great utility easy to hit high or lower. Draw or fade is easy too. Great heavy feel. Does it have a counter weight in the shaft? Kind of feels like it does and maybe looks it too. Anyone know for sure. What does the weight accomplish? Thx!

Does miura still get respect?
I am a 9 index and have tried most offerings out there. I think the best combo of looks, feel and forgiveness you can't beat the Titleist VG3's. Game improvement clubs without that look. Another suggestion would be the OnOff LaboSpec's just released. Similar concept to the VG3's

Does miura still get respect?
I don't know about GOD, but most people in the US (I am in the US) and on Golfwrx in general only know Miura of all JDM makers. I think it goes back to bsg and "tour issue taylor made products". I think that is the genesis of the Miura phenomenon. Most people in the US have no idea the quality and variety of great JDM clubs, in fact, I never sell any of my JDM stuff, other than Miura, on Golfwrx because nobody has any clue as to what it is. Miura makes fine products. Most are old school offerings--not what gets done at Endo, but very good none the less. I agree with Supo their blades are the prettiest I have seen if I was a blade player, I would have them at the top of my list.

Are the VG3's irons conforming
Thanks Good to know. I thought so but was unsure.
