  1. I would rate this an 8.5-9.0. S400 shaft...Golf Pride Tour Velvet grip. Here are the picks:
  2. BB-41, 42, and 43s are all DASS. The Millenium series was all made from DASS.
  3. I have done extensive research in this area. I cannot find anything related to German Double Aged Stainless Steel in any metallurgical journals. I don't know how factual this story is but, I was told that Scotty was on a trip in Germany and needed a catchier name for Double Aged Stainless Steel. His great marketing mind started to churn and GSS was born. As I understand it, DASS is a process. Metal is heated, cooled and then reheated at high temperatures.
  4. If interested. I have a black ox 60-V with a prototype stamp.
  5. Does this mean it will also be conforming? Are their "Tour" Synergys yet?
  6. Wasn't the first Blue David Tom's 660?
  7. That's a tourspec Blue shaft. Supposedly made for Toms and a few other PGA players. Extremely rare. The specs are identical to there shaft designations. The only difference being the color of the shaft. I think I have heard of 757s, 869s, and only a few others.
  8. Either the picture is wrong or the description. The description states is metallic blue in color, which would indicate a Tour Spec 869 blue. It could bring that price but, something's not right. TSG just asked about a Blue TS. http://www.tourspecgolf.com/modules.php?na...c&p=37741#37741
  9. The 370 is just 10 grams heavier. Michael Crockett's email is [email protected]. TKS putters has DASS versions of the XM too.
  10. dmbao, See if Chris can get you a 360 or 370 XM. They are very good putters as they frame the ball very well. You can also try emailing Mike Crockett, at Bettinardi, and see if they will sell you one directly too.
  11. There are alot of aftermarket ones one ebay. I believe Custom Club Coatings did alot of them. Studio Black ones are going from around 1200-1500. The aftermarket ones significantly less.

    Try Todd at Tksputters.com.
  14. Chris, How big were the $$$ figures they were talking about???

Here ya go! From my understanding, Crews golf signed up Zomo as another line. Crews will continue to carry Bettinardi. http://www.crewsgolf.co.jp/rjb.shtml
  16. If you are looking for a heavier head, then look for a Bettinardi one, especially the US OPEN commemortative as those are 360 grams. If you see a Black star finish one, that is also 360. It is confusing so, there are deals out there.
  17. I pm'd you but for everyone else. The workmanship is the same as I believe they come from the same plant. The Japanese Bees are alittle smaller and if you do a search, Chris (TSG), had comparisons between the US and Japanese version. You can also check the Yahoo Bettinardi club site as the pics are there too. The Hogans are all 340 grams, no matter what length shaft it is. The Japanese version heads are progressively weighted so the shorter the shaft, the heavier the head. I like the color of the Hoganardi heads but, the weights not good for me. The Hoganardis are alot cheaper, $150-$170 compared to around 500 for the Japanese and more for Tour.
  18. Scotty has addressed this many times and has just signed a long term agreement last year with them. He has made them rich and they have made him rich. He may have an out but, why would he leave? If anyone should be with Nike, it should be Bettinardi.
  19. I think he has a garageful of these shafts. http://www.kjchoi.com/kjequipment.htm
  20. Zip, I think you are fairly new to Cameron collecting as you seemed to be "hip" to the newer stuff. I don't like jumping into people's buy and sell ads but your correction is more than likely "dead wrong." David Duvals 2001 British Open winner was the only limited production putter made with a Black Star Mist finish. The Japanese release Newport Black Pearls were made around 1997. Please open your Scotty Cameron book, "The Art of Putters", by Bill Vogeney and David Levine, to page 97. You will see the sole of this putter, a "Black Pearl Newport", as compared to the Inspired by Duval Pro Platinum finish. I have seen and owned both of these putters. Oh, and I was referring to the the Black Pearl mist being a newer finish than Black Pearl. That probably is a Black Pearl finish and is very rare. The finish is much older than the Black Start mist. That came out after Duval won the British Open. HUH? Read you post and edit it so it makes sense. This is a Japan release putter, and it has a Black Star finish. And Ohms, who says you cant sell it for more? Steve :)

  22. I've only seen one on ebay and it went for near $1k.
  23. How can he give up on the Red-X??? I haven't seen him putt like that in awhile. He was smokin.... Shingo is a big plus for Nike. Probably going to see alot of Cat Nike stuff now.
  24. Yes, Supposedly one of his family members owns Crews. Can't see how Maru would need the money??? This seems very strange and somebody most know the real scoop!
  25. Over on GO, Brian has reported that the buzz in the Japanese Golf magazines is that Maru is going to sign a agreement with ZOMO. Supposedly the $$$ were just too big to pass. This seems odd as I understand, Crews golf is the licensed Japanese distributor for Bettinardi. Anyone have more info on this? No one seems to know Zomo?!?!
