got so many of these fella. one of the better ideas ive ever come up with is to build an uber easy driver , like an onoff../ a taylor made burner.. i used the TM tp and put one of those bimatrix shafts in it.. u will not make this move anywhere, it is gunbaarrel straight ,very heavy and the best of all driver replacements to find a fairway.... play it around 44 inch its not long, u cant go wrong with it i tell ya
  5. yea... i make sure i hit everyting i have , a soo nas i get it i hit it, then .. it might sit with cobwebs for years. but yes,, things have a habit of sitting idle for ages. i might try that miura,,,,, id doubt its that easy to hit ?
  6. howd u find them, esp the miura. ive seen this and hte titleist , they are ones that really took my eye. the honma is my unbeatable one it seems the miura esp has me interested...

can someone pls give me an .......educated......... view of what the closest comparison wud be in the NS range of shafts **** INCLUDING ANY PROTO******* to the px6.0 "non flighted" weight. flex flight. cheers!!
  9. I want to add a few thouhgts on the wedges as well... Chris let me have a test of a set of the 52 and 56 chrome wedges. shafted them with NS 125s Straight out of the box into my hot little hands they look really good, same finish it seems as the golds putter with emblazing on it ,not sure what its called but it presents very well. the shiny chrome with the label etched , damn good look, very minimalistic, no extra words , numbers nothing. its as simple as u cud get. shape. they have a striaght line sole ,the are of mid size, def not comapct , def not BIG. a higher toe and a bit of offset which frames the ball close to the face, (esp the 52) they have a thinner flat sole , and a thicker top line which def improves feel. , a higher toe to make hittign the ball very easy. but for me this is where i ran into problems when i tried to move the ball i found they went too far left and it wasnt natural to cut them. the 52 has more offset than the 56 and that makes hitting down on the ball STRAIGHT.., very easy i found, i didnt miss**t one with the 52 over 2 days practice with them, but i dont really use the 52 that much so i dont really pay that much attention to it , but i did notice i got great spin, and a very flat trajectory , the 52 certianly bit. the grasss on impact. the 56 i spent a hole heap of time with, the spin is excellent, the look at address is abit bigger (than im usd to now) grooves look superb. striaght shots were fine t when i hit down into it and tried to drag it back miles. verstailty wise, i didnt find them overly so.., , to my eye they seemed not to like being layed open , i was fidgeting with the look, i was playing on grass like clouds so soft but the 56 ddint appear to look comfy being moved into unnatural position. but for hitting dead stra8 a pins it was excellent impact, these are pretty soft. i was saying they are not like epon soft, they are kinda like a crisp dense feel like crazy protos. shape isnt too dissimialr to those either. i found the spin with them to be spot on, they werent backing off the greens and they wernt roling fwd either , for my eye they were dead set spot on. had them shafted with NS 125 so the shafts arnt that friendly! but they still did what i wanted them to do. overall, these have lovely look / lovely feel, but for what i require especially from the 56 , they didnt suit me. they have a bit of offset which to me is a killer. but for 99% of the rest of the golfing world its a non issue. i think they wud play well on harder pan grass as well, the bounce, im not sure what it is , but it wasnt big bounce prob didnt help on the grass i was playing offf. id think they wud crisp the ball prtety well on harder stuff. i found that bec the 56 looked uncomfy beign laid open a bit was a detriement and i was struggling to find the sweet spot with it unless ihit it dead straight which is somehing i never do. my thoughts are these wud be a set of all rounders for guys of a higher capper nature that either dont want or need to get too funky with thier wedges. if tis aim shoot at a pin, no probs what so ever ,they imparted very good spin. and felt lovely. IMO even tho the shape isnt my thing and they didnt suit my eye ( i like the tourstage x-wedge shape which seems no one else in this universe likes...!) id guess they are prob a goer for a lot of guys. if ur a higher capper def worth a look of if u u dont like big broad soles and either no bounce or lots of bounce and like hitting dead straight. these are worth a peek. thanks to chirs for the op. to try these out
  10. goody gumdrops, terrific shafts

i was looking at htis yesterday as well. can def. see the similarities in head design, but the new one looked abit thinner nad more compact with a smaller face. liked its look immediatly. hope its easier than the old one to get consistantly .........., boy when u get the centre of the old one, that thing just went and is the , best feeling sounding driver of alll time IMO.

  25. PRGR egg1 , 7.5* x 45.75 labospec tataki (vs 44.5 diaman X......, same head) the egg driver has not been outta my bag for any important game since i found it and first twiddled with it months ago , granted the stock shaft is excellent (also a diamana) but the upper shelf shafts really make this thing sing. its not for everyone thast for sure but for those it is its a one of those mystical white horse things with a horn on its snout and a big furry tail. so this being my 3rd egg 1 the instructions to bossman builder was simple, build me a dragon slayer. i want it looooooooooooooooooooooooooong i want this is whistle. so build it he did and slayer , it is. its a bit whippy. its a bit long its a bit light its a bit tinnngy it goes long. it goes flat , it feel unreal and it goes left. IT ........................GOES.........................LEFT!!!!!! good heavens , hell wuda frozen over b4 i thoughth this cud go "the other way" , but so this one does, so the first 5 drives iht 2 cars ,a japan post truck, a carp and a tanuki!!! all over the left ob fence, had nothing to do with the ball moving 40 yards in the air, it was simply my normal aim position down the left hand edge turning over! yup it took some getting used to aiming correctly and when i finally did, i was smiling. flight is flat and low to mid low , def NOT high def NOT mid its still a very piercing driver which holds true to all the heads its in, the 70xs tataki shaft is a low piercer. its a thing of beauty and its much easier to hit than the dia X so where does it sit vs the diamana X 70s a-gamer?? well i was playing for baahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh stations sat, so i wasnt in any mood to fk about , i was taking out the no1 driver and it got down to 3 or 4 drives on the range at the end of the warm up to decide that i prob needed to hit balls with it on course with it b4 i took tit out for coin or comp. i was "that close" to doing it , bec the extra lenght i was getting wudda broken the baron, but the dia X is not slouch so being on the shorties is a BIG advantage, so t i went with safety first and took the diamana. pretty glad i did bec i killed it. my idiotic habit of benching things bec they are perfect was removed this day . and it saved me big time the diaman X is just so reliable and its just automoatic. its hard to hit really well, but when i get it middled its a keper, its not uber long , but misses with it are superb, i get away with murder with this shaft , somehting i just dont ge with others , i have to admit it tkaes plenty of mental fortitude to get my head around it and BELIEVE no matter hat swing i put on to draw, its never ever gonna be lost on the left... ever. so i can make my swing with virtual certianty that everyting i hit to the left ill be ok and once again it proved that with stunning consistancy. its really the top dawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwg. so why build anohter ? well. simply put diamana DONT really make shafts that add feel and loveliness to heads. they are pretty bland to be honest akin in my eyes to a v8 merc just so nice to flog along to without having to wait for a turbo to kick in , and most of the golf ipl ay these days is practice so i can and want to play really good feeling sounding clubs ,the tataki is really one of those shafts that add spice to the dullest of meats, diawa on the other hand are pretty close to the opposite , thier shafts to me are like a subaru imprezza. all top end , all foot down then kapooooooooooooooooooooow when the tubo hits, and why i love t he new shingo 358 so much. nad why iwanted my fave head on this shaft well i got it, but i havt taken it out on track with its compettors, somethnig ill have to do soon to really get a feel for it, but right now iwas happy withit and i think when i get it vs the others on corse itll more than prove its linage. its like the Hayne -train- plane waiing inth wings to take t he 49ers back to where they belong!! .
