Endo Forged
Thanks T, Sounds like these guys do more work than we all know about, it is interesting that I have played a few of those OEM forged irons avail in Australia and had limited success with them in terms of feel and playability and kept going back to my old Mizuno MP 30's which I believe were forged in China. I then bought the ONOFF s forged wedges from you guys and they are the best feeling clubs (irons or wedges) I have played so I am now looking at an iron set forged by endo! vineman

Endo Forged
Hi Guys, Is there any difference in the quality of the forging between the Japanese factory and the Thailand factory? What about the tolerences within the products? I assume that the epon clubs are forged in Japan and the fourteen / on off etc are forged in Thailand is this correct? One would also assume that the reason for the factory in Thailand is due to cost of production? Thanks Vineman

Crazy TJ-46 with Kamui 456 Inital Impressions
I hope that T can get to the bottom of this for us all as the reviews on the shaft are making us all save our pennies to buy one (or more) of these shafts. When you are spending quite a few dollars you want to get the best fit for you and some of these numbers seem a bit inconsistant? How much of that is due to different club builders and testing machines and how much is due to the shafts? I only hope that there is a simple answer and that ther are no QC issues involved.

Crazy TJ-46 with Kamui 456 Inital Impressions
Thanks, would you say this combo was "better" than the 420 with the griffen? with better dispersion? and if so how much do you think the more forgiving 456 head played a part?

Crazy TJ-46 with Kamui 456 Inital Impressions
Bogeydog, I was wondering how the dispersion went with this combo? I read that the LY shafts are built for loooong drives but would like to know what you think about dispersion? Thanks Vineman

Shaft help please!
Hi idrive, Specs for the kamui are as follows 10.6* loft square face 59* lie angle 205gm head I love the feel of the driver and the distance is good although I think it will be better once I sort out the shaft and can put a full swing on it. My previous driver was a Cobra S9-1 Pro D 10.5 with the OEM spec ozik xcon stiff shaft, that driver has a 2* open face and I hit it without the wild rights! prior to that was a titleist 905r with a square face and the oem fujikura shaft which was the straightest club i've ever used (should have kept it!) With all of the above that is why I'm thinking shaft is not quite set up right for me, I am going to get on a launch monitor asap to chaeck out my swing and will make some more decisions then. vineman

Shaft help please!
Hey guys, If you believe in this stuff or not will always come down to personal preference and what an individual thinks. On my course a shot that leaks out 12M (14yards) off center will be in trouble as we have quite a long cut of rough. My problem though is when I put even a 1/4 bad swing on it the ball is really in trouble and I have to find a chip out option, case in point on Sat played the front in 37 then the back in 44, due to 4 drives that were DEAD even though the swing was not too bad (pared the 4 par 3's hitting all of the greens with irons). Anyway thanks for the replies and keep them coming if you have an opinion. Vineman

PRGR EGG Spoon Video Review and Sound at Impact

PRGR EGG Spoon Video Review and Sound at Impact
Great job T the video was very informative and honest (I don't really like the alignment aid!) I thought the sound was a very solid tink and I think similar to my Kamui 456, just sounds like a Ti driver not a sus fairway due to the Ti construction IMO Keep up the good work.

Shaft help please!
Thanks Goodsie, I should have chosen better words, I found someone in my nearest city that Flat Line Oscilates shafts and balances clubs so went to him to get the pieces put together. The shaft when Flo'ed has the sticker at about 30* away from underneath the club I was able to watch the FLO test and it is spot on. (bad choice of words with spined sorry) That is what is worries me as I was trying to get a long but straight club. I originally was after a 44.75" club so the head is 5gm heavier than standard which I am wondering if that is having some affect at 45.5" perhaps not getting back to square at impact. Thanks for your response I will be in contact before I buy my fairways to get you to have a look at them. Vineman

Shaft help please!
Hi guys, Just put into play a Kamui 456 with Graphite design 9003 stiff shaft which has been spined/floed and is playing at 45.5" This combo has good length (Iwould love a few more meters) launches mid to high and carries nearly all of the total distance. My problem is even on a good swing shots leak to the right, missing the middle by 12meters and on a bad swing I can't keep it in the same state. I've tried putting an easy swing on it, a "normal" swing, a real hard swipe, fast, mid and slow tempo and nothing works! I did a fair bit of research on shafts before the purchase and thought I found a good fit but are there any suggestions out there a) for this shaft b) for a new shaft? Thanks Vineman

PRGR New TR500 Forged Limited Edition
Hi guys, Many have said that these are blade players irons, are they less forgiving and more blade like than the yamaha v forged tour irons? or are they both in a similar slot? I assume that the regular v forged yamaha is similar to the 302 what from prgr would be similar to these I assume the GN502 tour model?? Vineman

what 3w are you playing?
Hi J, Playing sonartec NP-99 3 wood withFuji touor platform 26.3 x flex although am looking at the new kamui fairway and the PRGR egg / egg spoon. I reckon it is more important to get this club right than a driver! Vineman

Epon - Kamui - Crazy Driver
Frogeye, Can't do a comparison but spent a long time researching a new driver and bought a Kamui (456) due to all of teh customisation that you can do with them. I have it being tuned at the moment and can't wait for it to go in the bag. My only suggestion is that trackman is good but also hit a driver of similar specs out in the real world before you order your customised driver. Remember to check the real loft etc of the demo club! 2010 Golds Factory Muscle Backs!
Thanks for the update Chris, We all appreciate the need to get these right so that the finished product is "A1". Are you still expecting the final design in 2010? and more so for me are you still going to look at a CB? and if so will that be in 2010? Thanks Vineman

Golf Grips
Hi Shoutout, I have had the Masda's fitted and are in play, they are good grips, firm and do not twist. After a good clean they do not slip although I would not say they are "tacky" as the iomic's are. We are having a few humid days at the moment and I did not have any slipping problems. Although the grips are good I will be fitting the rest of my bag with iomics when the new gord versions come into the pro shop. Hope that helps, if my opinion changes I will let you know, Vineman

How much do you...know about Japanese Golf Club Manufacturing?
Chris, As a new comer to your site and it's products one of the things that has always been said in forums is that you let your customers know if there is a problem with QC on a product and if it is consistently faulty you will remove it from your product line. This is a big bonus for us the customer IMO so please keep the honesty coming. It will be interesting to see where this debate ends up, we are all paying big money to buy from "independant" and high end companies and I for one expect to be given correct information about the product I am buying and also expect to have no QC issues. If I wanted to continue with inferior products I would still be buying from the retailer on the corner stocking (and pushing) the big OEM's equipment. Vineman

Golds Factory Putters
Thanks Chris, Would I be correct in assuming that the private stock is also an Fe putter? Also are the Fe cast then milled? and the sus milled from a solid block? Vineman
-
Golds Factory Putters
Hi all, Just wanting to know what the differences in performance are between the different materials golds use? I assume that the Fe stands for Iron, SUS for stainless and that the private stock is also an Fe (iron) putter. I know that there are only a limited number of you with these putters but any help would be greatly appreciated. Vineman

I need New Wedges for 2K10
Thanks hawk, I only played a bit when I was young with wilson 1200's then went and played other sports and came back to "new" grooves and re learnt the game with them. We do play a funny game though and feel is so much of it! It will be interesting for me to see the changes in shots when I update to 2010 grooves, as you say the ball will change to produce more spin as with the old balata ball but it will be the trajectory that we new comers will have to get used to. Work in a little spot called Mount Benson, right on the coast of South Australia 100km (63 mile) West of Coonawarra, it's good Cabernet country! Hope the back heals well and let us all know what you end up with in terms of wedges. Vineman

I need New Wedges for 2K10
Hey Hawk, Just a question on the groove rule, I see that you have IT listed as your profession so I thought that as an amateur we were all allowed to use old grooves till 2014 when amateur tournies moved to the new rule is that correct? or is that just over here in Australia. Also not sure how the rule would apply for Pro Am's? I hope I am not sticking my nose in, just trying to clarify a very silly rule implementation (IMO) vineman

I need New Wedges for 2K10
No worries hawk, you have to be happy to look down on it! I like the TR500's as well and will look at them in a few months depending on cash flow. IMO I think what you see as offset in the ONOFF is actually due to the rounded shape of the head which continues into the leading edge. It would be good to see what the numbers actually are. Good luck with the search, just to throw another one in there perhaps hte new cleveland forged?
