I need New Wedges for 2K10
Hawk, I have just got the ONOFF S forged wedges 52 and 58, they are performing very well although they are 2009 grooves not 2010. The heads are very similar in shape and size to my old Mizuno MP-R 52 and 58. The hosel on the ONOFF is slighty longer and they have a little lower flight. They would fit well with your MP68's in sizing. They are more rounded than what the prgr wedges look in the photos. The grinds suit my style with the 52 having 4mm trailing edge relief growing to 5.5mm in the heal with a slight rolled leading edge, can be opened up without lifting the leading edge much, good spin on full shots (not crazy spin) I use this club alot from 100m in and do most of my around the green work with it, on the short shots you can either get it to bite when required or roll out nicely depending on your shot. The 58 has 5.5mm trailing edge relief, going to 10mm in the heal and 7mm in the toe before rounding off at both ends, there is a slight concave chanel through the meat of the sole (not as visable as the new crazy) Can be opened up easily and spins like no ones business! on an opened up shot one bounce and stop! it has a light milling on the face to "help" the grooves, I use this as a sand wedge and for going at short sided pins and it works very well. As with all max groove wedges they can eat urethane covers with a single bite so it depends on what you are looking for! Hope that helps, Vineman

Fourteen HI-660
Hi Big Easy Are you sure they are all genuine? Sounds like you may have been ripped off with that many differences? I hope I am wrong and they are all "real" but that may lead to some control issues in the manufacturing process which would be disappointing for a high end club! Did you get one of them from TSG? if so you that would be real. Hope you find the style you are looking for. Vineman

Kamui 456 vs 420
Thanks for the update, I've gone for the 456 w GD 9003 S shaft, size and shape appears similar to my old 905R titleist which I loved. I spose if the 456 doesn't do it for me I will have to try a 420 as well!~ Thanks for your help.

Golf Grips
Hi, I have always used Golf Pride tour velvet and have found that if you wash them each week after you finish your round (or before your next) they suit all sorts of conditions and suit a glove as well. That said I have just ordered some Masda slick fits and if you can wait will post a review once they arrive. I have found that winn grips are too soft for me except for a putter which I use as we speak and love. I have hit demos with dififferent iomic grips and thought they were all very good as well. Hope that helps a bit will post again once I get the Masda's

PRGR New TR Wedge Review
Interesting to hear, with any speculation on forum's you never know until you try it out yourself! personally I hope to never find out till 2024 unless the ball changes are so dramatic that they don't work with "old" grooves time will tell I spose.

PRGR New TR Wedge Review
Hi Guys, With the new rules any club produced / released prior to the 31st December was allowed to carry the old grooves and can continue to be made with them up to 2024. Unfortunately any club produced / released after the 1st January must conform and can only be made with conforming grooves even though we non pro's can use old grooves! The only way to get old grooves in a new wedge is to groove them yourself with a hand tool or find a workshop set up with a cnc machine capable with the right bit! From other forums there is a lot of speculation that anyone with a hcp of 2 or above would not be able to tell the difference if handed 2 different wedges on a blind trial. Also most say that the ball will change to suit the new wedges and "replacce" some of the lost spin, this was one of the driving forces behind TM penta / five ball so we could get more short iron spin without increasing distance club spin rates. Hope that helps some, Vineman

Iron Loft Progression
Hi , Driver SS of 115mph, 7 iron loft 35* distance 170m Loft depends on complete bag setup and distance gaps, start at your wedge combo and then work up to fill gaps until your hybrid / fwy / driver. Kamui Custom Hand Made Fairway Woods Now at TSG!
I'm also looking at that in between 4 wood area. It is fantastic that we now have the option of hand made to our specs now to choose between weakening the 3 wood loft or strengthening the 5 wood. T do you have any volume numbers on the heads? it will be interesting how many cc's different the heads are!

What is your GO TO CLUB? or your FAV Club?
Good topic, always changing I would think! It is amazing for me to say this but the putter is my go to club at the moment, good speed and roll and it helps that I'm picking the line well too. Worst by far fwy wood! it is so unpredictable so I don't even pull it out! Perhaps next week It will all change again!!!!!!!

2010 Yamaha Inpres X D Power Spoon - Initial Review
Good review, It is probably time someone came out with some flatter lies, remember that if you shorten a club by 1/2" the lie drops by 1* and vice versa for lengthening the shaft (info from Maltby) I would expect the PS to be similar to the PRGR spoon so would also like a side by side review! anyone? I think at the end of the day I will go with a prgr because it is more upright and I'm a bit taller. Thanks for the review.

You Can Only Have One Brand
Great topic! As I spend hours reading reviews and getting info from all you people in cyber space trying to fill my empty bag here are my choices. PRGR seems to have the best overall coverage in the market at fairly reasonable prices. Tourstage comes second for me with great designs and a good name Yamaha look amazing and most report good feel (especially irons) Epon fill the last spot with some very loyal supporters although alot seem to be distributors / builders which may lower the cost? Honourable mention to onoff! Just as a side putters are not part of the bag to me they are part of the golfer! such love or hate could not be directed at just another golf club!!!!!!!!! Vineman

Hi folks, Looking at a new driver and want to know how much longer a .88 cor driver is over a .83 cor say using a swing speed of 100mph. Also what are the legalities of using .88 as an amature in club comps??? Thanks Vineman

2010 Golds Factory Muscle Backs!
Hi guys, It's a bit late but thought i'd add my bit, Satin finish, raw face sounds great 22* 3 iron to 48* pw, i agree with idrive it gives more wedge options. extend muscle pad out to th etoe slightly more while squaring up the top of the toe. On the standard edition have a slight trailing edge relief.

Help me fill my bag!
Hi all, This topic may seem a bit odd but before knee surgery I sold all my clubs to have a fresh start once I recovered. Now I'm having trouble actually making some choices and parting with the cash so help please. About me 6'4" 225lbs (191cm 100kg), swing speed 116mph, miss to the right (lessons helping) hcp 5 Driver - looking at the Kamui either size head or the tourstage x drive 703. Also need help with shafting one of these. Best combo I've had titleist 905r with speeder stiff shaft (titleist version) 10.5 loft. I'm looking to be long but accuracy is very important for me. Fairway - looking for a 4 wood 16.5 - 18 degree mark, so far the on off plus looks good but no real idea onthis or a suitable shaft. Utility - call me stupid but I still like the 3-PW idea would still listen to ideas. Irons - used to play mizuno mp 30 irons with S300, so far am looking at Tourstage x blade 703, yamaha inpres x v forged (tours looked awsome too bad sold out!) or I can pick up a set of Bridgestone j36 PC on ebay real cheap which may tide me over for a while. wedges - like the look of the on off very much! any other thoughts? I know personal preference comes into this alot but all comments and info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Vineman

Help me to find a new DRIVER.
Hi Guys, I hope this is not what you call thread jacking (new to all this stuff!) I'm also looking at a new driver and think the Kamui looks great and trying to toss up the same issues, 456 vs 420 and shaft selection. I have a 116mph driver speed with 270 - 285 as a range. The best combo I have had in the past was a titleist 905r with speeder stiff shaft (titleist version) 10.5 loft (so they say) this kept it long but with good dispersion. Any thoughts on head and shaft combos for this, I know that by the numbers the blueboard s83 is very close to the old speeder shaft I had. Any help most appreciated
