Key is to get shaft that fits you ie weight (EGG stock seem light). If you have "the" shaft and you have that on a TEE & EGG like I did, then you will see how superior the EGG is.

Haha thanks C. The tee hybrid with Altus works well but then again I haven't tried a JDM hybrid. Plus it's good as a 'rough' club for those damaging lies sometimes you just have to play lol. Poor thing haha Got a good deal with c tapers.

Hey B, thanks. Got the egg from hibcam. He had it done, made it a heavier head too with 6 coates. Didn't like the shaft he had but it's great with the ilima. Kinda sexy huh?

I have hit both and i have also come from cb2 & cb3. The CB2 &3 are long and great off the tee but i found tougher off the deck. The xcg-3 FW is a big head but shallower profile and a lot of people lilke it and so did I. Then enter the EGG (previous model) which i shafted with same one i used on the CB3, and the rest is history. I have hit Gian11's newer egg and that is also awesome and better sound. Basically superior ballflight, easy to use off the deck and on tight par 4, i dont bother teeing it or just barely off the ground if crappy tee box. I have 3 guys witness me go head to head on the range vs cb3 and the EGG killed the CB3. Hope that is of help.

Im no Epon expert but yup thats not a good copy. But there are really good ones around like the AP2s a couple of years ago so i hate to think what these counterfeiters can do in the near future in terms of JDM products.

What do you want to achieve? Most at your SS can do with a bit of spin for elevation and maximising carry hence probably why the redboard was recommended. The shafts you mentioned and what others are recommending are all good FW shaft but one of them will fit you the best depending on what you want to achieve.

I discovered the Altus in the Adams pro gold hybrid series and they are said to be the real Altus. Found out I'm not keen on the boxer shape head so I moved it on a TEE hybrid and bingo. you can snag this pro golds for cheap on eBay with the altus. Why not grab one and experiment & if u like the shaft, try it on a JDM head.
