  1. Yup. The AXIVs were hot a couple years back. Never used the V, but the normal one (that is no longer available) had a strong kick and feel as if the ball was launching at full blast.
  2. Anyone hit these yet? I would like to know how they play and feel at impact. I interested in these so any replies will be greatly apprciated.
  3. I totally get that. I have a right biased swing and used my friend's Ahina. It was not friendly to me!!
  4. With Japan's meticulous attention to detail, i'd much rather have it made in Japan. It is a peace of mind.
  5. I've played several blades in the last 5 years, but the most comments were on my Yururi blades in the raw black finish. They are really eye-catching.
  6. I have had both an older x-drive and RC BBD a while back. And though things may have changed the last several years... to compare them they were quite equal in performance and forgiveness, but i did like the feel at impact of the TourStage.
  7. Hmmm... don't think they were that much. Removing 1 zero sounds more like the original price.
  8. The Egg spoon seems to be real popular here and in Japan. But, you can't go wrong with the Epon. Did you want the "normal" shape fairway wood? Or the new PRGR tech egg shape that supposed to get the ball up? I really think it simply comes down to personal preference.
  9. A birdie told me that there will be a Tour Issue review sometime next week. Not sure on the truth on that but that's what i heard. Regarding Geotechs, they have more economical clubs that's why the prices are reasonable. in the proshop, if it says made in Japan then that's where they are made. Probably not at a high end place like Endo, but they are still made in japan which is a better quality than most clubs made elsewhere.
  10. I got the shafts changed in mine and they are Taper tip.
  11. Interested to hear how the graphite is working for you! are you still with the Accras or did you switch back to the steel?
  12. Which Epon did you want to change to since you are already playing the 302's? For feel, i would definitely go with the Epons. I've played many japan brand irons and nothing compares to the Epon's so far. Have not tried the Gold's, but i have prejudice to irons forged at ENDO. But, if you wanted a major cusotm tweaks to your irons, master sasaya from Golds can make your set fancy!
  13. Im crazy about the GD Tourad DI6. It's the point of impact where i feel POWER! and the launch is on the higher side, so that may help you as well. I use these on my driver and 5W as well and they're definitely keepers.
  14. The top GR iron looks great. I'm guessing that it is forged and the one below is cast? I'm feeling the classy clean look of the top one. And not so much the "edgy" look of the bottom one.

A buddy of mines purchased one of these (I was 100% against this purchase especially after reading the other posts on counterfeits). And guess what happend?? Only the 2nd or 3rd round of use, the face cracked ever so slightly, but it really affected his play and never was the same. Also, when i look at it up close the top of face area where the face and finish connects, it is starting to somewhat "lift" or "peel". I feel bad for the guy, but gave him a real big TOLD YOU SO! lol. Lucky for him, it wasn't a big investment.
  16. Seems like these are real hot in Japan right now. I just purchased a set, and was told the first shipment sold out a month before release. So I'm in line for the 2nd shipment.. I'm having bad luck with purchasing too late...too much debating!

Great post! Supo you rock! So how did you get all those Egg to test? I wish I was part of your foursome! I'm another one of the poor ones waiting for the 2nd shipment of New Egg with Fubuki.... But, i'm not about to lose my position in line after hearing about your experiences!
  18. The added length is proven to add somewhat extra distance but at the same time somewhat higher chance of mis hits. Im interested in your theory with the uber forgiving head with longer length. Please update us with your results with this and if you notice any extra distance.

Haven't used the Mamiya Attas t2, but I haven't be disappointed with any Mamiya shaft i used thus far. They all have this strong kick that i love.
  20. These must be hot in japan. I tried ordering it with fubuki shaft and its backordered until end of sept!! They said the first shipment sold out a month ago! Thinking about trying the standard shafted version because it can be shipped early sept. Gotta get my hands on these to find out what the craze is about.
  21. The Epon 208KGX is not available heads only. So, that $199 is shafted with grip. I know the 210KGX has been released, not sure if the 208 is still available. But, i've played both and they are top notch!
  22. this is a great post! the whole shaft thing perplexes me and your opinions helped me narrow it down a bit. You guys are awesome to take the time and give your experience to all of us!

I've had the 208kgx in my bag a while back and just replaced it with the 210s. i had no problems with the 208, but after playing with the 210s i noticed a somewhat significant ease of striking and forgiveness. I do not notice the lower spin becuase my swing speed is in the 90mphs. If it produces less spin, it is not noticable to me. the Epon wedges look high quality compared to the other clubs i used and i get lots of comments about them.

i've just cast clubs for years many different brands and models during that time. I was happy with them. Then i came accross the tourstage Xblade and it changed my opinion on this for good. Since then i've played the TM forged irons and i love them. The feel of the impact is what i enjoy the most. It feels more "natural". my swing does its thing and there is no abrupt feel at impact. Also ive had neck problems and i noticed somewhat of an ease using forged rather than the harder cast clubs. Of course this is my experience.
