Very very nice!! Hard to believe this is raw.
  3. Just some blogs of club fitters in Japan. :)
  4. I have been reading some great reviews on the new Fujikura metal composite iron (MCI) shafts. Combines all the great characters of steel and carbon. You should check it out. http://www.fujikurashaft.jp/mci/index.html They come in 60g ranges up to 120g.
  5. Thanks Tario! Pictures would be awesome! Would love to see a full review video by Tatsuro with this driver. Can't find much info about feel and sound. ( I am betting it is superb! ) 100% sold on the looks already!
  6. So is it safe to assume that S-Yard quality is pretty much equivalent to Epon?
  7. And I always thought the inside was the better half. LOL!!! you guys crack me up!
  8. Excellent price on these! How do they compare to 208KGX? Did not have much luck with the 208's myself.
  9. Found another interesting write up from a club fitter in Japan. Supposedly a "confidential" piece of information he got from his sources. " The indicated loft on the head is the impact loft and not the static loft." What the.....?! I have never heard of this!

  11. Been reading about this new driver from Seiko S-Yard. The T.388 driver. Found some interesting history around forged Ti driver heads along with it. In 1993, Seiko S-Yard released the world's first forged Ti driver T.301 which was revolutionary at the time and was designed and manufactured by Endo. Forged Ti drivers instantly became standard offerings from most major brands and most of which were produced by Endo. The engineer who designed this head was Kenji Kobayashi of Endo who eventually in 2001 became president of Endo manufacturing. He is known as the father of forged Ti drivers in the industry. In August of 2011, Kobayashi-san decides to leave Endo for the reason he described as " It is time for organizational restructuring to refocus on expansion and development of their business. " His last creation at Endo was the Epon Zero. In February of 2012, Kobayashi-san accepted to become president of S-Yard. His role is to run the company as well as develop new driver heads. His first development job at S-Yard is this T.388 driver. 388cc forged Ti head ( which I am sure is made at Endo ) that carries the spirit of the original T.301. end of translation....:-) Being an Epon driver fan, I think I need to try this new driver from Kobayashi-san!!!
  12. I would love to hear impressions on the new V203 Tour Driver.
  13. I have never had a Stinger unfortunately. Diamana X to me is the most stable shaft I have used to date, I think Diamana X is mid launch - low/mid spin. I usually play an S flex with most shafts and I was initially worried that this Diamana X 70X would be too much for me. but I can still feel the head and getting good distance and good dispersion with my AF102 8.5* combo. I have tried a CB50 Black 7.7 in this head before, but did not have much luck. I was not able to feel the load on the shaft. I guess my swing style and tempo suits the Diamana X better. FYI My SS is around 110 to 115 mph with a smoother transition. ( not abrupt ) I have used the FEx Proto in 75 X and it felt much stiffer in a Zero head. I have since re-shafted the Zero with a Basileus Z 70 S which I played today for the.first time and loved it. I can really feel the head now and impact is much more Epon soft. I just like softer/smoother feeling shafts in general, but the Diamana X even in X flex is so smooth that X flex feels good to me.
  14. I have tried 3 of the 4 mentioned here. My vote goes for Diamana X - Seems to give me best dispersion for me without sacrificing feel even though it is an X flex. BB7 S is a close second place for me great feel and trajectory. Proto FEX did not provide good feel for me perhaps I needed a Stiff instead of an XS. I have not tried the Z9003 but I have tried the older 9003 in S and really liked it.

Just got these today. New Old Stock... Mizuno Yoro made "Fujisan" wedge. Unfortunately, I was only able to find a 56* Very interesting 5 plane grind. Will have to see how she plays.
  16. Two 8.5 deg AF102's in a row..... never seen that happen before. :-) glws
  17. Here's mine.
  18. What a steal!! GLWS
  19. As for my 3 wood, I am attached to my 2008 Japan model Taylormade VSteel ( one with the screw on weight on the sole ) I was not excited at first, but after I re-shafted with an ,again older model, Rombax Prototype 80C and installed with an angled ferrule from Golfsmith to make the face be more open. Well, this really changed how it hits. I have tried at least three different newer model 3 woods since then, ( JBeam FX-BM, Adams XTD Ti Super fwy, Tour Edge CB4 Tour ) but none have replaced the Vsteel. I also know that quite a few JGTO Pros still carry Vsteel .... which is encouraging to know that I am not alone :)
  20. Thanks for the additional info Gocchin! Let us know what you find out with their clubs. Especially around quality. I got an email back yesterday from them saying that they do not do head only sales due to safety reasons.
  21. Looked up some more info about their clubs, they actually may be OEM'd by a company called Fujimoto Gikoh in Hyogo , Japan. http://www.fujimotogikoh.co.jp/freepage_18_1.html I do see the two models made with SS400 in their line up. The one with the inner airpocket (Z-01), though the company claims that it retains the feel of traditional MB, users somewhat disagree. A few users of M-01 ( the non air pocketed version ) do mention that SS400 has the best feel of all MBs that they played in the past. really tempted to find out more about this SS400 carbon steel.
  22. T... Tae, I was gonna to keep it a secret!! lol just kiddin!! They actually have two types of MBs. One is a more traditional looking MB, the M-01 which they claim as slightly forgiving than traditional MBs. Then they have the Z-01 which are the No.1 irons in Rating Gate in the low to mid handicappers irons group. This model has a small air pocket internal to the muscle which increases the sweet spot significantly. They claim that these are significantly easier to hit than traditional MBs without sacrifice in feel. They also hold a patent for this air pocket construction made with one piece construction as opposed to two piece construction of most other air cavity irons. All made in Japan from raw steel material ( SS400 carbon steel made by Kobe steel ) to assembly. I am waiting for a response from them on whether they can sell head only. Looks like they only have direct sales route at this time.
