Question for Mr. Kobayashi on his driver designs
Interesting topic, was talking to my coach the other day and we both use the Nunchuk shafts, which virtually eliminates droop, so he was thinking that our fairway woods and hybrids need to be made even more flatter.

Gripmaster Grips
Used them for a few years, I always preferred soft grips, but these I like even better. I play in warm weather and I would always be constantly drying my hands due to sweat, since getting these I have never wiped my hands again, because the sweaty hands actually make them tacky. If its light rain they are great, just give a little wipe with a towel and they will be instantly tacky, but if drenched like we get in tropical monsoon, they are going to be just as hopeless as any other grip.

Golf bag/club organiser/tidy
This is the only one I know of that has been remotely successful as a produtc, and has not change for years. http://www.kahmagolf.com/caddyrack I have been trying to think of something better but its hard, I had a dig around the US Patent website and there have been plenty of submissions some as long as 100 years ago. I think the company that nailed it was the Grip-Lok system in golf bags made by Pro-Line (now a ghost) and taken up by Bag Boy, but that wasnt a hug success either. Either way I think most golfers are too impatient to stuff around putting clubs back in the bag. Everything that seems to be done to avoid clubs clanging is a pain in the bum, especially after a double bogey.

Nunchuk Shaft........
I have Nunchuk in my driver and 3W, it does exactly what it says it does (and its been mentioned in these forums before). My SS with driver is 95mph, and i have lent it to a 10 and 12 yo kids and they love it also. The key is to fit it properly to the head and FOLLOW the instructions, cut to 44" or less playing length. Everyone I know that hated it, made theirs too long. Dave Tutelmans review is also wrong - I invited him to write that but he did not test one himself. The shaft does not conform to any preconceived ideas, it is not just another heavy shaft. Go try one, cut it to the right length and it will work.

SOLD
am curious, but I doubt you will include shipping worldwide in your price (and I have no idea which country you are in) But before we go there, Is this really a utility or just the 3 iron in the set of irons? I cant find any specifications on this club online. Particularily I would need to know the head weight and hosel diameter.

Egg Spoon 17*
nobody is 'right in the middle' :-) a 95mph may well have an optimum flex at say 5.5 (if 5.0 is Reg and 6.0 is stiff) but do you want to hit it lower or higher, straighter or more distance, do you have a fast or slow tempo, do you load the shaft. using my imaginary scale, you could easily use shafts in the range 4.5 to 6.5 depending on what you want and how you hit it., and provided that the lengths and weights/MOI are done properly. I beleive the clubmakers call this dynamic fitting. I have a 95mph swing speed too and I played Rifle 6.5's for 10 years and they were fine, and I guess in the old scale that was about X flex. But as the clubmaker consulted me, I wanted lower and straighter. so thats what I got. And now my driver shaft has its stiffness measured at 330cpm - do the math on that one!

Calling all Egg Spoon Users (new version)
that might work nicely for some people but for an old drop kicker like myself, no tee and a fairway wood is a terrifying experience.

Calling all Egg Spoon Users (new version)
do you mean you cant bend it? or are you like me and just cant bring myself to tee it low enough when hitting off a tee?

Thats interesting, my smash factor measured on the Trackman is 1.49 every time. If i really slap one badly its 1.48, apparently thats special but I dont really know. Not saying that to make me sound good but there has got to be a really good reason why my SF is always the same and yours varies so wildly. reading your other posts it does sound to me like you are getting too much spin, and everything else points me to the shaft i use :-) Lets put that in a proper context, the Nunchuk costs $250. Now the entire cost of my set of irons cost less than that brand new(not including the clubfitting and assembly), and that would be why you never heard of them. (what am I doing here?) And i have never been sucked in by glossy big brand marketing. There is only one reason I spent so much money on a shaft and (obviously the driver head, albeit 2nd hand though) and thats because I tried it and had to have it. I never would have spent $50 on a new shaft otherwise. The benefits of the Nunchuk are huge, and its so different, so its gotta be worth trying out. Just a bit hard for you where you are :-)

Epon AF-101 reshaft
I use the Nunchuk, soon to be two, It does exactly what it says, no need for me to repeat what they claim. I also have met the inventor and had it explained in great detail. I then hit a demo with matching head to my own and i was hooked, and I am not a fast swinger or long hitter, at the moment my driver speed is only 95mph, I am getting old. what gocchin said... Right now you need a shaft that is firmer, tighter, slightly heavier, all to increase control and stability and at the same time gain overall distance, a shaft that will square up for you and give you the right amount of launch and spin. The distinctive thing about the 'chuk is that it does not need to 'square up for you' because it did not get out of 'square', and whilst it is heaver you will not feel that due to the counterweighting. Others will claim that they do not feel the 'kick' with this shaft and that is correct, but that is not a bad thing. correct, there are three sections because each one is wound in different directions. for example the bottom section is wound in a way that avoids twist and droop. You really must just try it. p.s. I just remembered who you are :-) Lets catch up when I get there in Dec and you can have a crack at mine.

consider the Nunchuk, awesome shaft and it does do what you are looking for.

Which utility iron is the most forgiving off the deck?
Unless someone is going to hit all those with the same shaft and fit how is anyone going to know :-) you could answer the question with some degree of reliability by choosing the club with the lowest vertical COG,the highest MOI and with the horizontal COG furthest away from the heel. Well thats what I would do. Except that the specifations on all these clubs are detailed in japanese :-(
