this was a release from the scotty cameron US webstore last year. Not gore-tex either, its a nylon material. Not JDM, sorry. Made in USA though. I would know because I bought one of these when it was released from scottycameron.com and am gaming it as well. Cheers
  3. any way to get this in 17 deg?
  4. either the newer or older VG3 irons are fine... steel shaft please. let me know what you have and the condition.

    SOLD. thanks.
  6. give the AX a go. Usually, you will tip the driver shaft for 3W duty but with the AX, better you just butt trim and leave the tip alone. the AX feel is similar to the alpha but seems to produce a higher spin. not sure if it helps but i think the AX is under-rated at its price point.

  9. Sky Dream Jump D-Tour Type Bite! 48* and 51* plenty of spin on these guys..... http://www.tourspecgolf.com/Sky-Dream-Jump-D-Tour-Type-Bite-Wedge
  10. i swapped out the stock egg shaft and stuck a Fubuki AX 75 in my egg 3w. much better, perhaps, it's the added weight of the Fubuki AX 75 that makes everything more stable to the swing.
  11. +1 for the RC TRC UT 20* got it in the SR flex graphite stock shaft. ball flight is a tad high but stable....really forgiving. easy swing for it, easy off all lies including teeing it up on Par 3s. did just that yesterday... 160m Par 3..... hit it sweet and all was left was simple birdie putt! yeah!
  12. Ok, here's the short story. Got mad and wanted to convert everything to JDM so i wrote to Tario (gocchin) and after quite a few emails, i settled for a brand new Crazy 460 (Ion plated) with a Royal Decoration shaft. My game.... i am sure i am not alone! - Swing speed 88-92mph (went down a little after a wrist surgery, broke the hook of hamate earlier this year) - Handicap: approx 20 - Bad shots are slices if i try to swing hard and then i lose all sense of control. i told Tario i needed: - a forgiving driver - a great feeling driver - a nice shaft that is easy on my wrist - a bomber Old driver: Titleist 910D2 with fubuki alpha 60, reg flex. i thought this was a pretty forgiving setup. Until I hit the Crazy 460 +Royal Deco. What I got: Crazy 460 driver 9.5 deg, 0* face, plus Royal Deco in SR flex built to 45.75 inches, D1, 227cpm The good: - Very forgiving. Get out of jail forgiving. - Good shots are long bombs with good roll. Never really thought the Royal Deco would be as "low spin" as the Fubuki Alpha but yes, you get decent roll out of it! I thought i will get a pretty obscene high launch with this combo but the trajectory is more like mid-high so all is good - Not so good shots are still very ok. I topped a couple of shots but didn't lose much distance! - More fairways for me for sure - The feel of the driver is far superior. Like i mentioned before, it feels like a forged iron passing off as a driver or a driver trying to pass off as a forged iron. really really addictive feel. - I look forward to using the driver more than ever! yah! (even on bad days) - Superb superb feel. sorry i just have to say it again The bad - Me, the golfer. When i try to "crank it up", bad slice. My swing dynamics more than anything. happens with all my drivers. - Maybe the price. but hey, JDM is not cheap right? - Can't stand magnetic driver headcovers. Best way to get the most out of this driver/shaft combo: swing easy. the shaft will do all the work. i try to tell myself that all the time. sometimes, i guess i just don't listen to myself enough haha. The royal deco shaft loads well and gives a very powerful yet soft feeling kick. I know the recommended shaft specs says i should be playing reg flex but my discussions with T suggested i should try SR. I think i don't regret that. Seems to play soft to flex. the SR flex feels (subjective) even softer than the Fubuki Alpha in Reg. Not sure if it is the higher torque numbers.... I would not hesitate recommending this to ANYONE. Just get the right Royal Deco shaft!
  13. just got my Crazy 460 + Royal Deco a couple of weeks back.... best feeling driver i ever hit. seems like a forged iron is pretending to be a driver.... or a driver pretending to be a forged iron.... well you get the idea.
  14. For a slightly cheaper option, try the Machline FW shafts. http://www.tourspecgolf.com/Mach-Line-Fairway-Wood-Shafts I got a FW75 in my titleist 910F and i like it alot. At $120, always worth a try!
  15. anyone has any idea if the VG3 range will be updated anytime soon? also, i know the iron heads are endo forged but are the made for titleist motore graphite stocks shafts made in japan as well or some made in china stuff? seems to be a waste to have cheap shafts in those heads!
